Settled on this model because it was available, made in the U.S., and salesman said GE quality was great. But we didn't keep it...it drove us crazy. Pros: it is roomier inside that you'd think by looking at it. It holds a LOT. It looks nice. Is garage-ready. Ice maker worked great. We got a great price on it. Why we didn't keep it: 1. Noisy. Sounds like...water is turned on in the house somewhere---a 65 db whoosh when it runs that we can hear all over the house. GE tech said that this is the norm for new models. Really? And it seems to run a lot. It was unacceptable to us, but maybe not to you---be sure to plug one in before you purchase and listen to it. In the garage...who would care? 2. That top shelf is invisible unless you squat or bend way down---the doors are thick and that shelf seems recessed. The bottom tray in the door is invisible, too---but it holds a LOT of bottles and small items you don't use often. You just gotta get down LOW to get 'em. 3. When it was delivered we noticed that the plug where the water line goes in at the top is popped out---the delivery guy tried to push it it---but it pops out abnormally. Also the back cover is thin black plastic about as thick as gallon milk jug material. Installation of ice maker hose required rumpling this cover all up---its a cheap-looking mess back there. It all works, but looks crappy. 4. We had trouble with temperature regulation---produce froze several times, and we couldn't seem to get the freezer and refrigerator temps both right at the same time. 5. Also had trouble with torn blue plastic film sticking out of corners, screw covers etc after it was "removed." Its really difficult to get out---and you don't dare use a blade to cut it. Bottom line...geez, this refrigerator is no better than the 24 year-old-unit it replaced except it uses a few bucks' less energy per year. It is noisier, has only minor cosmetic upgrades from 90's models. Tried to like it...but it has too many design issues. I'm frustrated that GE can't engineer a better top freezer model---something that the workers in their U.S. plants could be proud of.

Works amazing. Decent amount of soace for all our home needs.

Great space, nice shelf configuration. Works well in my garage as a backup refrigerator.

This refrigerator is very deep. I have to use a reacher to reach items at the back of the shelves. I absolutely hate when I have to look for something on the shelves. I've considered getting rid of it, but I can't afford to. I also don't like the fact that there is no light in the freezer. Other than that the refrigerator is fine. I have not experienced it being noisy except for the ice maker.

This GE garage ready top frezzer regrigerator fit our needs. Good amount of space in both top and bottom. We live in south Florida so it was important that we get a good quality fridge for the garage. We originally looked to but it at Lowes but they were out of stock plus the charged a $50 delivery fee. We ordered ours from Best buy on a Friday night and it was delivered Monday for free.

Sturdy. Compact. Freezer keeps items frozen. Refrigerator has more than enough room. Good value.

I was surprised at how much room there is in this frig. Have been using it in a sun room during the winter and it has worked well. This room will get hotter come summer so will have to see how it does. It is noisy. I would not use it in the house.

This refrigerator is a very clean, spacious and energy-saving appliance.

Great fridge, an upgrade from our old fridge with more space. Only design comment is that the bottom door shelf is much smaller than the middle door shelf above it, so it is easy to not see the items that you store in the bottom door shelf. The delivery folks did a great job installing it and making sure all is fine before leaving. Overall, a great experience!

This fridge is great. The inside space is exactly what I needed and it keep everything cool and crisp.

PERFECT REFRIGERATOR FOR MY APARTMENT. i WOULD BUY AGAIN.

Needed a new Fridge in a hurry and Best Buy had one available for pickup in 3 days, and was then ready for pick up in 2 days. I did not want an Ice Maker or water dispenser and this one fit the bill. No Light in the freezer, but a minor issue all things considered. It's been up and running for 4 days and working Great. Freezer is Ice Cold below Zero, and contrary to a few Reviews, the Fridge section is Very Cold at around 40 degrees. Also this Fridge is VERY Quiet. Lots of room with 21.9 cubic feet, but my one Con is the Limited ways the shelf's can be arranged to make better use all the space more efficiently. Other than that ... I'm happy with the way it's working and will see how it goes in the long run. I would recommend it if you're looking for a decent no frills Refrigerator at a fair price.

GE Refrigerator in black is what we ordered. It is basic, good size and usually can last about 20 years. It took two weeks to be delivered. Very happy.

One of the things that I love about this refrigerator is the size of the freezer. And also the inside shelving is a perfect size for what need it in the refrigerator.
