My wife likes it because it is hidden. I hate it because getting water from the dispenser requires 2 hands while leaving the door open as opposed to 1 hand with the door closed on our old fridge. And if you like to fill a pitcher like my wife does, the door stays open even longer just for water. Kind of a dumb design if you ask me... they should have found a better way. I wish we would have ditched the water line altogether and just gotten a Brita pitcher to fill from the tap.

Contacted GE and was told that I'd need to buy a full mullion assembly ($117) for the door just to get the spring. Had this issue with another fridge long ago, and I just bought a new spring (~$1) for it. Annoying.

However, the spec sheet on both GE’s web site and Best Buy’s website said it would be under 70”. Actual measurement is over 71”. It wouldn’t fit. Christmas canceled. GE stinks!

Started making noise but still cooled. Noise went away and so did the cooling. Freezer still working. Repair guy said there are 3 motors and not sure which it out. One $290!!, one $90 and one $70. Plus labor. So if one of the cheaper motors, I'll fix. The $290 motor, I'll have a large paper weight.

Water dispenses tepid, not cold water. Water dispenser is difficult to use and difficult to avoid spilling water when filling glasses.
