The bean counters at GE figured out a way to save money in the construction of this model, presumably to the chagrin of the engineers. In the door is a recessed circle where the vent for the drying cycle should exhaust water vapor and pressure. This model saves GE money by forgoing the vent. When pressure/steam builds up during the drying cycle, it'll blow out the gasket and cause leaks for every future run. GE must love handling the warranty calls that they get on this defective appliance.

It is sufficient, but not the best, cheap plastic, minimal setting options. Unfortunately costs have almost doubled, so my budget didn't allow for a better quality unit.

We installed ourself. Could not get door open. Door looks to be over tightened at the top causing seperation where the control panel meets the door. Side of door is also creased near the bottom. Finally realized the door was jammed shut and had to pull forcefully to get it open. Call to manufacturer resulting in a service man coming to inspect and verify door is damaged and needs replacing. Another 2 weeks to wait for return visit is install door. Disappointing that this damaged at factory unit was sold and now im waiting weeks to be able to reinstall.

I love the dishwasher but not your installation people they didn't change a water pipe so I had to hire a plumber. While he was here he installed the dishwasher for free so I could use it instead of waiting for you to show up.

No real problem at this time; however my previous dishwasher had a lid that flipped down over a section of the silverware basket which I used for spoons, and a separate flip down lidded basket for knives, which are no longer provided. The sharp pointed knife tips poke down a bit through the bottom of the basket which can't be good for the life of the basket.

For the price very disappointing, one of the springs were broken, called no one returned calls. Factory did a test, was water still in machine, factory should have not boxed machine with water inside and paperwork all wet. I questioned sales associate when I picked up the machine, box was wet and leaking, another associate said it was factory tested. My other dishwasher was 27 years old, totally better made.

6-ish months of use. No longer dries Dishes. Tried switching soap brands, added Jet Dry, changed settings to boost dry, but every time, the dishes are wet after washing.

The price was right for a GE product. The dishwasher cleans the dishes and silverware well.
