Good Price Value But a Few Lower Rack Annoyances

It looks great in our kitchen and seems to do a good job washing the dishes. However, the lower rack is oddly configured and doesn't hold as many dishes as our previous one. The rack also routinely slips off its guide when moving it in or out, which gets extremely annoying. I would rate it a good price value for a "basic" dishwasher model.

Frame is cheap and needs to be firmly wedged in or it will bend. Door is very flimsy and the handle cracked after moderate usage. Gasket around the door actually fell off! Machine also struggles to clean tall glassware. You can do better in this price range.

In fact, it’s the WORST dishwasher In over 50 years that I have owned. I bought it sight unseen from the young man working in that department. You guys did not have the one I really wanted and said it could take months to get. I was showed the ratings or reviews and it had like a four and half star. I have no idea who’s gave these ratings but this dishwasher is worth about $100.00 tops. Personally, I would not give you that for it. I paid over $500 and it’s so cheap. I told my husband I hated it as it’s such crappy quality, but since it was installed and the box was thrown out he would not take it back. I have never been more disappointed, I am beyond angry and if I still can take it back I would. Please let me know as I hate this and would never ever recommend this to anyone.

The tenant had a problem with the control panel under warranty. It was easy to make a claim for repair and GE fixed it at no cost. It works good now I'm told.

The tray keeps rolling off the track. Should i get a replacement or are they all this bad?

If you don't run the dryer the dishes never dry on there own. Plan to use more energy or dry by hand. Wash cycles seem longer than my last dishwasher, but it does the basic job and is fairly quiet.

It's not what we would expect to happen and we apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this may have caused you. For the best wash and dry performance, we recommend making sure the water is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit when it enters the tub. Also, check that the filters are not clogged and the dishes are loaded properly. Selecting any additional heat settings will help both the wash and dry cycles as well as high quality detergent and rinse aid. It was just as bad as the Florida sun in the middle of July. Went to BestBuy to get some games for my son and BOOM, took one good look at this GE Dishwasher and took it with me the same day! UPGRADE YOUR APPLICANES!
