Posted .Hi there - We are so sorry that your dishwasher is not cleaning the items loaded on the top shelf well and that it isn't getting hot enough. This would be disappointing and we understand your discontentment. It's possible that the dishes aren't getting cleaned well because the inlet water temperature isn't hot enough. To remedy this, turn on the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher and let run until the water temperature stops rising. Then, start the dishwasher and turn off the faucet. This ensures the entering water is hot. Additionally, you can select "Wash Temp Boost" to increase the temperature of the water. Posted .We know your dishwasher not working as expected must be concerning, and we want to assist. If the Start light is flashing, this would generally indicate the door was opened or the cycle was interrupted. You can press the Start pad once and close the door within 4 seconds to start the unit, and press and hold it for 3 seconds while the dishwasher is running if you wish to cancel the cycle. If you’re not able to stop the flashing, you may want to try disconnecting the dishwasher from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting; this resets the electrical components and can often resolve an issue. For a draining issue, you may want to make sure the drain and air gap are not clogged. Troubleshooting tips with more information on addressing potential issues are available starting on page 19 of the manual; that can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page. If you’re not able to resolve this situation and think service may be needed, that department can be reached at 833-426-3393. Avoid this dishwasher and avoid GE customer service. If you are doing a remodel, purchase your appliances from another store with a longer exchange policy.
