We appreciate you reporting your experience with this model, though we truly regret that you’ve had an issue with the dishwasher shutting off, and are unhappy with the size of the racks and the placement of the buttons. We know these issues may have caused frustration, and we’d like to assist. For the trouble you’ve had with it shutting off, you may want to check the fuse or circuit breaker to make sure adequate power is reaching the unit and the breaker isn’t tripping. Checking that the door is latching well may also help, and the dishwasher control can be rebooted by turning off power for 30 seconds, then turning it back on; this resets the electrical components and can sometimes resolve a concern. We hope those tips help, but if you continue to have trouble our Service Department is also available at 1-800-432-2737 and a technician would be glad to examine the dishwasher. Our Dishwasher Design team will be informed of the issue you’ve had with the unit shutting off, as well as your concern over the racks and buttons, for future review and development. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

I purchased this for my son's wedding gift. He took off work 2 different times to for a promised delivery date. We were stood up both times. Each call to customer service was a joke.

The utensil basket goes in the front and keeps the detergent door from opening properly, I've resorted to throwing the tab in the bottom of the dishwasher. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

Posted .Thanks so much for the feedback on your dishwasher. This sounds like it has been a hassle and we are happy to help. Loading recommendations can be found on page 8 of the manual. Large utensils should not be loaded in the silverware basket or they may block the dispenser as you mentioned. Placing detergent directly in the tub would result in poor wash performance as the detergent would likely drain out with the rinse water, before the wash cycle begins. We hope this helps. Since day one this gave me problems and it died shortly after purchase. I called GE and they were beyond useless. I have since replaced it. Save yourself money and do not purchase anything GE.

Im more frequently having to run it a second time to get dishes clean.

I am getting a replacement tomorrow and if this one works, I will no longer be disappointed. But it's been over a month since my original purchase, and I had to reinstall my old dishwasher to avoid washing my dishes in the sink.
