Three years of awfulness!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased our first dishwasher 3 years ago. It would blink an error code, and not even begin a cycle. Best Buy replaced this without incident. Our second dishwasher did the exact same thing. This was then replaced with the same model, and did the same thing. It would get stuck, blink certain lights, and not begin a cycle. After lots of time on the phone with Best Buy and GE, a service repair was scheduled. A technician came to the house, replaced a part, and the dishwasher has miraculously worked for the past year. Until last week. The front door is leaking pools onto my kitchen floor. It is $200 for replacement parts - over 60% of the cost of a brand new dishwasher. I sure miss my Bosch...

Broke within 3 weeks of use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We are currently not happy with this purchase, the dishwasher stopped working after 3 weeks of use (does not turn on). GE warranty service is taking too long, we are over a week with no dishwasher and they are still ordering parts/figuring it out. Not a good start. I would not recommend this product given this experience.

Where s my dishwasher?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered this dishwasher on 04/28/17 (black version), with delivery date of 05/12/17. It arrived as promised, but with a major scratch, down to exposed metal. Refused delivery, customer service told me new dishwasher would be delivered on 05/19/17. On May 18 received email informing me it was out of stock and new delivery date of 06/02/17 was set. So we wait, will update if or when a defect free dishwasher arrives.

Great Product!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent dishwasher that looks great and functions even better. I have had this now for about 1 month and will re review in a year. It is very quiet and cleans even the toughest of stains. You should always use a pre rinse agent as recommended by the manufacturer or it will not work as designed.

Posted .Hello and thank you for choosing GE Appliances and reaching out about your dishwasher. It is disappointing to hear about the poor wash performance and we would appreciate the opportunity to help. First, we recommend making sure the water is at least 120 degrees. You may need to run the sink for a few seconds to warm the water up before starting a cycle. Second, a high quality detergent is important for the best performance. Also, a rinse agent will go along way to get rid of the water spots and keep your interior clean. If you have any additional questions, let us know. - John@GEAppliances

Posted .Hello Deepak, thank you for your review. We are sincerely sorry that your dishwasher's drain pump stopped operating properly so soon into its lifespan. We understand how that would be frustrating and would love to look into this further as this is not the ownership experience we strive for. Love it!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I've only been using this GE dishwasher for a little more than a month, I'm totally in love with it!!! We just remodeled our kitchen and switched to all GE slate appliances -- a finish that's as beautiful as it is fingerprint-resistant (YAY!!). I hated saying goodbye to my old Kitchenaide dishwasher 'cuz it was so quiet and efficient but this new puppy is even better -- soooo quiet and works like a dream. LOVE IT!!!!

Cleans great....including my basement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loved it at first. Super quiet and cleaned great. But after a heavy guest weekend where we ran it several times in 2 days my son noticed it was leaking into our basement. A week later Best Buy brought out the replacement and it was in my house less than 3 hours when the seal that goes around the door came off. I had a GE for 15 years and was excited by this one but I have hand washed dishes more than being able to use it since my purchase. Pick something else.

Lasted only 4 year 7 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Look of DW is great, Worked well until main control board quit, one repair @$200, then stopped again within a month. This model apparently has this problem well reported now. Too bad, previous repair man recommended GE as least repaired, not for us.

Don't expect quick repairs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this dishwasher in Aug 16. Worked like a charm, and really cleaned the dishes and glassware. However, about 25 Dec 16 the dishwasher stopped draining. After following the troubleshooting instructions and cleaning the unit, I called GE and let them know the dishwasher wasn't draining and they had a tech come out a week later. Missed the call because they called my wife (she teaches and has her phone turned off during the day) and not me. A week later the tech come out to confirm the dishwasher wasn't draining and he needed to order a part. Another week later for the certified GE tech to return, even though the part came in a couple days later. This tech couldn't get the dishwasher to work, so he ordered a couple more parts that came overnight. I was waiting for the return of the GE certified tech, but when he didn't show to the scheduled appointment on a Saturday. I called and was told they were over booked and rescheduled my appointment (well thanks for letting me know and rescheduling my 2nd appointment). Four days later the GE certified tech came out and couldn't fix it. In fact his computer wouldn't communicate with the dishwasher. He gave me an escalation number to call, and I talked to a "consumer advocate" (Anyone read 1984 by chance? Yeah right, consumer advocate my...). Don't expect any help or return your calls from "consumer advocates." Well the part was on back order and had been for a week now. I've called several times with no one willing to replace my broken dishwasher, because the warranty says they can fix it first (And they will remind you of that). One guy even said there were notes reporting the wrong part was orders. Today, 24 Jan 17, got a call from a warehouse in GA on my cell, VM left, that said the part was still on back order and to call them when it comes in. One more call to the “Customer Advocate” who said she had the part pulled from the warehouse (wait I thought it was back ordered?) and expect it on Thursday. Oh, great I have to take 5 more hours off from work on Friday while I wait for a certified GE tech. So, what rating would you give GE?

Happy when it finally died
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was so happy when this dishwasher finally gave up and died. It started leaking and the main board shorted out. This thing washed terribly, dishes always smelled funny, things came out feeling greasy. I honestly think dishes came out dirtier than when they went in. Replaced it wish a Bosch which is amazing! The Bosch cleans better on quick 60 minute cycle than the GE on heavy. I watched various appliance reviews and GE and Samsung are the worse.

Electronic issues
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this dishwaster in july 2019 and have had two major issues with it both being electronic where the lights on the dishwasher do not turn on. Issues came in middle of 2023. Dishwaster was not used excessively just moderately. Still troubleshooting the root cause, yet it appears to be a main board electronic issue.

Broken in less than 3 years!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In less than 3 years this GE dishwasher is totally broken. I bought it in Jan 2021 and had BestBuy professional team to install it in Feb of 2021. It is used in my vocation home. Even though it is almost 3 years since it is installed, the total loads it had is probably less than 200! Now it does not show any power. All the LEDs are blank (made sure the power outlet has the power). Tried to reset it, no responses at all. Since it is already over one year, it is no longer under warranty. And to get it repaired is totally an headache since there is no GE technician in the town. If I get GE people coming, I will have to pay all the transportation cost in addition to the repair cost. I cannot believe this $950 appliance has such short life. What a waste of money and time! I do not recommend this product and I lost my confidence with GE products in general. (I used to be fan of GE appliances).
