Got it home, hooked it up, plugged it in and shut it. All the lights were blinking and then it would beep. Touchpad wouldn't work. Flipped the breaker to reset it and it did it again. Flipped the breaker again and let it kept it off for about 2 hours. Flipped it back on and NO lights, touchpad wouldn't work, BUT it start a cleaning cycle and completed it. Dishes were clean and dry. Called GE and set up an appointment. They sent someone to look at it, said they had to order 2 different parts, which I was told the next day that they were not in stock. I then got an email from GE saying they are going to ship me a new one (this one was brand new), set it up and haul off the other one. Its been 4 days and haven’t heard anything from GE. Will update when the new one comes in.

It also does not dry all the way even with the BOOST DRY setting. I purchased it for a condo where we do not live full-time so I missed the return window and now I'm stuck with this thing. Not happy at all with this purchase and the delivery and install people from Best Buy were the worst as well.

Posted .Hi - We hate to hear how unhappy you are with the GE dishwasher you purchased and apologize for your disappointment. The sound level of the dishwashers do vary and is listed in the feature description for each model. This model is rated at 50 dBA. We do offer models that have a higher and models that have a lower sound rating. It may take some time to become accustomed to the sound level of the new unit. Hot water is critical for good dry performance. Please make sure the water coming into the dishwasher is a minimum of 120 degrees F. We would also recommend selecting the WashTemp Boost option which will increase the temperature of the water. This aids in the evaporation of the water from the dishes. Finally, be sure you do not open the dishwasher until the Clean light is on which signals the cycle has finished. We hope these suggestions improves your dry performance. To have this fixed, we recommend scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737). If your unit is less than a year old, you are covered under the warranty for a free service trip. Does not clean dishes

Half of the dishes need washed a second time and not all food particles get removed on the silverware. And I even rinse the dishes to almost clean before I put them into the machine.

For the best wash performance, we recommend making sure the water is at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit when it enters the tub. Also, check that the filters are not clogged and the dishes are loaded properly. Selecting any additional heat settings will help both the wash and dry cycles as well as high quality detergent and rinse aid. If there was any insalation around the unit, it is not thick enough to protect our kitchen counter. Very disappointed.
