I bought this refrigerator on Black Friday in store but they need to order online because they don't have it in their warehouse. So I waited for 3 wks to arrive. But 3 days after when they delivered it, we found out its a different model. So I called the store and told them thats not the one I ordered. So to cut the story short, they ordered the one we like and finally delivered the correct model after another 3 wks. My 7yr old daughter loves this fridge because she can easily get her snacks and when she forget to close its doors, it will alarm. So far, we don't have any problem about it. It's very quiet. No leak. And this is our first 2door side by side fridge. We love it. No complain.

I purchased this refrigerator primarily because of the Slate Grey color. I think it looks fantastic in the house and it does not leave finger smudges so it's easy to keep clean. The big negative about this refrigerator is it is abnormally noisy. The water line constantly makes noise, there is a constant vibration noise and both noises are VERY loud. Additionally, there is a problem with the ice dispensor. Sometimes when selecting "cubed" ice I get crushed ice. Overall, I am happy with this refrigerator but had I known it would be so loud and have issues with the ice selection I would have went with a different option. However, it looks fantastic in the kitchen.

Purchased from Best Buy Outlet store. No major issues. It was pretty much new. Only complain are when the LED lights go out. I thought it was an old school bulb that would be easy to replace but the first time, I had to have a technician replace the light. Thankfully it was covered under warranty.

Like adjustable shelves and controls on outside. Stainless Steel does easily smudge. Filling of water for ice dispenser is a bit loud but got used to it,.

I have had the fridge for about 2 months. The slate finish is beautiful. I have no issue at all with fingerprints. It is quiet and so efficient I have saved $12 - $15 /month on my electric bill. Everything works perfectly. The delivery went very smoothly and the fridge was in perfect condition. The only slight blip was that I had anticipated that the delivery men would attach the water line and push the fridge into place. When they got here, they said they could not attach the waterline because the one I had just bought and attached to the water source the night before was plastic, not metal. There was nothing online when I ordered about the fact that a metal line was required in order to have the fridge installed. Wasn't a big deal since my boyfriend installs kitchens, but it should be noted on the website (it is noted on the pages for dishwashers). There are wheels on all four corners, and they level. It moves very easily. I also really like that the haul away of the old one was free. Most other places charge up to $25.

Had the fridge for about a month now, no real problems. The cold cut draw doesn't close very easily, try it out in the store and you will see what i mean. This fridge is also 1/2 inch taller than most of the other fridges and had to trim my cabinet to get it to fit.

I've looked for months, read alot of reviews, made the decision to buy this model. Quiet, spacious, bought in stainless steel. My one wish would be that it was Smudge Proof!

I have gone through many fridges in my time and this one wins the award for having the least amount of lighting inside. This is LED and everyone thinks LED is bright etc... but GE did a number and apparently put the cheapest solution in for this and it is so so dim. They need to test with items in the fridge and not empty. I just replaced a GE fridge with incandescent bulbs that is almost 10x brighter than this fridge. Other thing i noticed is that when actively used by opening closing doors it has a long recover time to get back to temp. I tried lowering the freezer temp to see if that would help but didn't . GE - you need to proved an upgraded LED board for the lighting in the ceiling as this is completely unacceptable.

Great fridge never had an issues. Definitely would buy again.

I purchased the slate set due to not wanting the hassle of keeping stainless steal clean and to find something more unique these days. I LOVE the color. The handles are stainless but brushed so they don't show prints bad, and my ocd self only has to wipe them down occasionally, but its a good thing to remind me to keep them clean. As far as the fridge, I chose side-by-side first because of price and second I just like the ease of the ability to access the freezer without a drawer. I upgraded from a cheap old standard freezer on top fridge with no door ice etc. I enjoy the door water but I rarely use it as I forget about it haha, but it does have a filter which is nice for our well water. You have to select ice/water when you switch between but not a huge deal. The only negative I have found so far (which they should really fix) is the cheese/snack center drawer is difficult to pull and push out and in, and is quite annoying as I use this drawer often. This is the only reason I knocked one star off.

I'm honestly shocked at all of the great reviews of this refrigerator. We bought this because our 14 year old Whirlpool died. I had high hopes after reading all of the great reviews, but it does not live up to expectations for me. 1-The worst thing is that this refrigerator is extremely loud. It's loud when it refills the water tank, loud when it makes ice. It's just very loud. 2-Even though the ice maker is on the side where the freezer is, you can't use the ice maker if The refrigerator door is open. So one person can't be in the fridge while the other fills ice. Won't work. 3-The refrigerator freezes things. We have it on the starting setting. I know it may take some adjusting since we've only had it a month. But the freezing is annoying. Does it work? Yes. Are any of the issues I've described enough to make me go through the hassle of returning it? No. Would I ever buy this refrigerator again? NO WAY.

Great product for the money very spacious. The color was one of a kind. I bought the set.

The temperature display for both freezer and fridge goes off after few seconds of setting. Not sure how to turn it on always.

GES25HSHBSS I bought this refrigerator model in July 2016. April 2017 we noticed a foul odor coming from the freezer section. There was no rot food or anything that would cause the odor. We removed all the shelves and baskets, cleaned with baking soda and water and placed 4 dishes with baking soda inside but after a few days the smell was back. We called GE Customer Service when was told to do what I had already done but did it again anyway. Smell still there. Called Ge Customer Service again. They sent a technician, from an authorized service shop in my area, who confirmed the problem but after spending about one hour checking the appliance inside and out, could not find the source of the problem. The technician told us that there was nothing he could do to help and was sending a report to GE. A few days went by whithout hearing from GE or technician. I called GE when was told that they haven’t received anything from the shop. Several times I try to contact the service shop but there no answer or return calls. Contact GE Customer service again and after several days waiting for calls back and answer to my emails to the GE rep (at this point I am very frustrated with GE’s lack of action) I was told that there was nothing they could or would do because the appliance was working. Because the possibility of food contamination I moved everything to an old fridge in the basement Clearly the problem is with the appliance but now I have to spend another $1,400.00 on a new refrigerator. After only three years, a drain pan rusted through and water is leaking on the inside of the refrigerator. We also have an unknown leak that is causing condensation to form and allowing mold to grow. When the repair person came out he said they see a lot of GE failures and their products are not worth the premium. That has been our experience.

Received my new fridge after emptying old ones contents into several coolers. Installer plugged in new fridge only to have a horrible rattling sound coming from compressor or fan.. Refused shipment. Now waiting for this to be returned then another one shipped. Very inconvenient and unhappy.

Buyer Beware ... I purchased this GE appliance in late May 2018 to replace my 9 year old model when the compressor went out. I had for 45 days when the fan/motor in the freezer went out (service call 1). 2 months later the door's ice dispenser stopped working (service call 2). Now I sit less than 8 months later, and the LED lighting stopped working in the freezer. Instead of me being able to order a part and replace, the user manual says to call GE Service. Don't know if I want to mess with another GE Service repair. If I can return and replace with another brand I would, but dropping another $1500 for a fridge is not in my budget this year. I do not recommend this fridge nor any other GE appliance due to this experience. When the dishwasher and stove go, I will purchase another brand. Very disappointed.

VERY FRUSTRATING INSTALLATION SERVICE After waiting for so long installation, and they came in could not install it, because shutting down the unit water was not enough and I had to shut down the whole building!! I AM SO UPSET AND THIS IS GOING TO BE MY LAST PURCHASE. It does not have anything with this product it's just installation SUCK!! EVEN 1 star it too much I have been on a call with customer service and they are trying to figure it out...
