Compressor noise unacceptable, shame, nice layout
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to love this fridge. I planned to buy the Maytag 24.7 cu ft but this was slightly bigger at 25.5 and I liked the shelf layout. After letting things settle-in for 24 hours the almost constant compressor on noise is unacceptable. We could clearly hear it from upstairs, ugh! Bliss for the few moments it was quiet, like first thing this morning. Opened the door and grabbed the coffee creamer and the compressor kicked-on and loud noise for 20-30 minutes. Shout out to Best Buy who really does seem to care about customer satisfaction. Returning and exchanging for a different brand/model was very easy. They offered me pickup/delivery 2 days from now and I moved to 3 days when I WFH. This type of customer experience will make me buy all my appliances from Best Buy vs. Home Depot. Seems like all the new refrigerators have compressors that run more than the old fridges, but the trick is finding one that doesn't come on more than a few times a day with average use. We're willing to pay up to $500 more for quiet operation, but the extra price is mainly around features vs. the insulated box/compressor itself.

I HATE this fridge!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't believe they even make this fridge! The shelves are not anchored at the sides, so they sag into the center. I had to place all my heavier things out on the edges to keep the shelves from sagging and my stuff from sliding. It also does not keep the temperature well. The top shelf and door shelves are too warm. It keeps the food smells inside. The drawers seem cheaply designed and don't slide in and out well. The outer doors were uneven. I'm not sure I can remember every terrible thing about this fridge! I sent it back and got an LG instead, which I LOVE.

We bought this and installed it in April 2020
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In our brand new home. It is a stainless steel model Have never liked the inside design on it, but am getting used to it now. Last week my cleaning person noticed there was some rust appearing on the door. She asked me if it was an old fridge. GE said they only guarantee it for 7 days for rust. They must not be too sure of it's non rusting capabilities. I also have to agree with other folks that the ice maker shoots ice all over the place unless you have a pretty wide mouth glass.

GE Appliances are all poor quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3 years ago we bought all GE appliances - dishwasher, stove, microwave, and refrigerator. Each and every one has either had two or more repairs or been replaced. Talking to repair people they all agree GE makes appliances with a 3-4 year lifespan. Stay away from all GE appliances.

Stay Away!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed with this fridge after just ONE year! It is extremely loud, ice maker is very slow and several pieces have broken already just from normal use. Will never buy another GE appliance.

Drips water, Hard to shut
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this one week and it hasn’t grown on me. It’s very hard to shut the doors and they pop back open if you don’t shut them hard. It also drips water from the dispenser.
