It not only kept one small area yet a huge connected area to a dining room area very cool. It was easy to set up. The noise has never bothered us.

I got this ac after my old unit crapped out after, 10 years. I loved that old hunk of junk :'( 1st off this new ac takes at least an hour to cool a small room, if I'm lucky -__- 2nd i need to clean the filter about every 2 weeks

Posted .We can understand the importance of feeling cool and comfortable in this heat wave we are having. We would like to help. It is important to consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. If the room was very hot, it will take longer to cool the room. When heat is stored up in walls, furniture, rugs and draperies, it will take longer to cool the room down. Whenever possible, turn the air conditioner on before the room heats up. Also, if you live in an area where daytime temperatures can reach 120°F outside, make sure the room air conditioner is sized properly. In extremely high temperatures such as this, a room air conditioner will improve indoor air temperatures approximately 15 to 20 degrees. If you have pets or if your home is under construction that could be the reason your filter is getting dirty every 2 weeks. A whole house air cleaner may help and keeping the dust down. If you continue to have issues, please feel free to take advantage of the warranty that is listed on page 17 in your manual. Joyce@GEAppliances

When I picked up the units they were brought out to my car. It a was quick and easy process. The units were easy to install and even easier to operate.

The clean filter light started flashing 2 weeks after I got it. The filter looked clean but I cleaned it anyway. The light did not go out and I cannot find any dust or dirt build-up on the coils in the front under the filter or on the back outside.

Posted .The air filter behind the front grille should be checked and cleaned at least every 30 days or more often if necessary. We would suggest trying to unplug the unit for 30 seconds then powering it back on to reset the unit. If the light is still on after trying this, we would recommend reaching out to our service team for help. Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty basic, I would first check though with your apartment complex, building, or landlord if you're able to install one of these, I bought and soon as I did, landlord said as they saw my family coming in with this, that we can't install these, Otherwise, I still believe this is a decent product and should do the job depending on the BTU and Sq. Ft. of the room you intend to cool down.

Initially i wanted to buy the 5000 btu,but they were sold out. This unit keeps the bedroom nice and cool on low fan and its not overly loud. Also the remote is a nice feature.
