    Thermostat doesn’t work properly. Sometimes it cut off at set temperature, other times it doesn’t.

    This air conditioner is misleading and very small. It is unable to work for the window set up that I personally have but the return window for this large appliance is 2 weeks so now I am stuck with it. The “best” that “Best Buy” can do is to suggest I sell it on Facebook Marketplace which should honestly be illegal to say because why are you promoting another company to mitigate the pushback on a 2 week return policy for a large appliance? They’re saying because the box was opened stores may credit it at their discretion….but if I lug this thing all the way to the store (as I don’t have a car) and they don’t honor it….then what do I do?

This model has instructions for a standard double-hung window, and this can be installed without the side curtain panels if needed.       Consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. When heat is stored up in walls, furniture, rugs and draperies, it will take longer to cool the room down. Check the outdoor temperature. Operating a room air conditioner if the outdoor temperature is 70°F or below will limit the cooling capacity of the unit. Check the indoor temperature. If the room is already 64°F or below, the thermostat cannot turn on the compressor. If you continue to have concerns, contact Best Buy directly at 1-800-433-5887 regarding any warranty coverage you may have. -Vikki@GEAppliances GE_Appliances

While this AC Unit has a 1-year limited warranty, we do not service this model.     After three weeks of ownership the unit started to make a buzzing sound. It sounded like styrofoam came loose. near the fan motor. My in store warranty was for only two weeks. Fortunately, after I purchased a Membership Plus Plan my warranty was extended to 60 days. I then exchanged the product.
