Wish it had a bit more surface area that secures its resting place in window, but got it figured out. Works perfectly in our 15x30 MB. Doesnt take very long to make the room feel cool. Still waiting to see how this impacts electricity bill, but anticipate it helps running this in a single room than the whole HVAC for the house.

Honestly, it’s great

For me, it did. It does take a little while for it to actually start cooling but once it does you’ll feel it. My living room is about 150sqft and with the bedroom and bathroom door open, it cools everywhere. So overall I think it’s a pretty great air conditioner that does what it’s supposed to

The extreme drawback, when the unit is running and the air conditioner (not just the fan) kick on, it makes a loud and high pitched noise. Nothing alarming like it’s broke, but it sounds like I’m sleeping next to vibrating airplane engine . It even over powers the highway traffic 6 feet from my window. It definitely has given some sleeping issues. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to keep it in my bedroom. It’s unfortunate as the unit does work fairly well. But the noise is a serious issue!

Many times, loud sounds are caused by the installation of the unit. As the unit will vibrate when in use, if it is not secured tightly to the window, it will be louder than normal. But Best Buy had a better price for this A/C than lowes . I'm very please and happy with the preformance of this GE a/c that i bought at Bestbuy.
