Every thing worked fine for about 12 hours, then it just quit and would not start again. Been without refrigerator for a week, trying to keep food from spoiling in coolers with ice. Not happy at all

Had this GE for a year - no issues thus far. Sometimes the temperature seems different in certain parts of the refrigerator as items in the back may start freezing even when temperature is set at 38.

This was definitely worth waiting six months for. If you are completely sick and tired of smudges and fingerprints on stainless and black refrigerators, this is the only choice. Not your grandma's white fridge - super sleek shiny white, not the pebbly gross cheap looking white finish. Since I did not want a water dispenser or an ice maker (they always end up leaking or breaking and take up half the fridge space and are the reason the compressor goes haywire and you end up buying a new fridge every ten years), I bought this fridge and turned the water option off - one little switch, that's it. I have to say it is almost on par with my 25 year old SubZero, which is still running and still looks new. It definitely has more options for shelving placement. Both refrigerators "breath" when you close the bottom freezer. The only difference really is the glass shelving; Sub-Zero has beefier glass and less plastic around the glass, which is easier to clean. For a quarter of the price of a SubZero, and after 25 years of complaining every single day about cleaning off fingerprints, this is an absolute joy. Works like it should, no cold or warm spots, solid build, easy temp controls, and no noise -absolutely no noise, quiet as a mouse, no running refrigerator noise, a single quiet click once in a while. One helpful hint to everyone - buy the appliance wax from Fuller Brush Company to clean this (and everything else you own). Best cleaning product ever made. There's a reason they've been selling the same wax for over 50 years. It's a tad pricey, but a little goes a long way and it keeps everything looking brand new and shiny; appliances, countertops, faucets, sinks, toilets, you name it. For not being able to see the fridge in person at time of purchase, (no one had one in stock to look at; not Best Buy, not Lowe's, not Home Depot, nor any local appliance dealers), I am so glad I took a gamble and bought it online. Wish it was still made in the USA though.
