This is a great fridge and my wife and I ahve been happy with the purchase. The Best Buy sales person was wonderful and answered all our questions and made the process easy, delivery was timely and well done. The fridge is stainless steel but with black top and sides which better match my existing Black appliances (that will be replaced with stainless when the time comes). My old fridge had a small trap door and his one has the door in door which allows quick access to more items. The space for water and ice is much taller than my last fridge which allows for easy filling of even large water bottles which is a bit plus. The ergonomics of the fridge are nice. My only two quirks are: - You mush open both doors to pull out the large drawer at the bottom of the fridge. - If you are using the water dispenser and open the other side of the fridge, the water stops.

Cons: The water and ice dispenser are both mess makers. The water dispenser drips a bit after you take away your cup. The ice dispenser is just badly designed - It has no actual chute or funnel to help direct the ice, especially if you choose to get crushed ice. I actually found this amazing solution for that though! Just search on google “GE Ice Chute Adapter” or go directly to the site "Etsy". No more ice all over the drip tray or floor!! Pros: The finish is beautiful and it goes great with my black appliances. Very easy to wipe clean with a damp microfiber towel. The inside of the fridge and freezer are both very spacious. The LED lights make a huge difference and really brighten the interior and make it easy to find stuff. I actually love the door in door feature. It's not as gimmicky as I thought it would be. This fridge uses a charcoal filter for the water which is definitely better than my hard water in AZ. Ice is made pretty quickly and tastes just fine. I personally don't like the taste of the charcoal water so I just use the water for cooking and making tea. The only noise I hear from this fridge is when new ice is made and it drops down. Honestly, this fridge is silent otherwise. Before this, I had a 20 year old Amada fridge that was terribly loud and it would randomly knock so abruptly, it scared me at night.

Purchased for the size and because the sales person hyped it up. I'm guessing there was a spiff involved on her part. I have been unhappy with this purchase from day 1. The refrigerator temp stayed above 40 degrees even when on the coldest setting. It was replaced with a different refrigerator shortly after the initial purchase. The temp in the replacement stays close to 40 no matter what the temperature is set at. We used more than one thermometer and tested in the spare refrigerator to make sure it was the fridge and not the thermometer. The ice jams in the dispenser and there is always ice build up around the edges of the container. The replacement unit had to be serviced at just under 1 year because there was so much ice building up on the freezer track that it wouldn't close. It it loud. Limited door storage on the ice maker side and sometimes it is difficult to get the refrigerator doors to properly close. I constantly receive mail solicitation from GE to purchase their water filter that is double the cost of other filters and if you use an after market, the indicator stays on. You get 1 glass of chilled water before it turns to room temp. Not worth the price tag and If I had it to do over again I would NOT purchase this refrigerator. Pros: looks nice, good freezer space.

After months of reading reviews, I finally went with a GE fridge. Pros: I love how spacious it is. I saw complaints about it being loud, but I think my definition of loud is different from others. Our last fridge sounded like bolts grinding in a disposable whenever the ice machine came on. The only noise this one makes is the cute melody whenever someone didn’t close the door all the way. And the water and ice dispenser is wide enough to fill a deep pot or those jugs that attach to your animal’s water bowl. Con: it does spit the ice at you. So just make sure to cover the opening completely with the cup or your hand. Note: our fridge is filter by our reversed osmosis. To bypass the fridge’s filter you’ll need a plug, otherwise the water comes out painfully slow. To get one, call GE. They’ll send you the bypass plug for free.

At first sight we loved it because of its sleek look and the freezer storage were nice...but the shelves are too small. Can barely fit anything had to remove one completely. the water is just a trickle, ice takes almost 8 hours for 100 cubes.... if i had known this i wouldnt have bought it.

We’re happy with the size and amount of capacity. We also use the door in door feature more than we thought we would. It also has nice sized freezer drawers. A couple negatives; the water dispenser drips one or 2 drops of water after each use - often several minutes later, also the protective plastic wasn’t neatly removed so in dozens of places in edges and crevasses you can still see remnants of the plastic. It’s almost impossible to remove now so that’s a bit frustrating.

I've read some reviews complaining that it's loud. It's all subjective. After install I was hypersensitive and occasionally I thought it was a little loud, but only sometimes and I have an open floor plan where the living room is one with the kitchen. But quickly as I moved a out my life I have never noticed the hum of the compressor. But the ice dispenser design does need some work. The way it directs or the size or something isn't quite right and dispensing ice can be a messy operation. But overall, very happy with the fridge.

I really like the clean lines of this fridge. It is highly functional and I really like that the door has a swinging shelf for easy access to condiments or beverages. Functionally, it's terrific. I also love the no fingerprints. As a mom of twin boys, it is amazing. Will never go back. I am not a fan of the water dispenser. It is incredibly slow and I find myself going to the sink instead.

We had this delivered in late January, and so far we are pleased with our purchase! It was replacing a side by side that came with the house. So much more usable space in this fridge. Like the fact that the exterior doesn't show fingerprints. The icemaker seems adequate thus far. Door ice makers tend to frequently "jam" requiring one to open the door and dislodge the ice. We haven't had to do that yet. There is plenty of storage inside and on the doors!

I called Best Buy because the icemaker wasn’t working and the refrigerator wasn’t staying cold. A day later GE showed up and changed the icemaker and then told me that the gasket for the front door of the refrigerator was missing. He said he would send a new one. When I received it it was the wrong one. I then called Best Buy back and spoke to the manager who is very nice and told me that something would be done. I then called the GE repair man back and told him what happened and he sent me the correct gasket. Now my refrigerator works fine. I’m very satisfied with the GE repair man that came but unfortunately I’m not very happy with the Geek Squad who I spoke to on at least three separate occasions and did nothing.

So far, so good! Like what it has, haven’t had any problems, installers were superb and went out of their way to do what was needed. Did buy the ice / water adapter from Etsy, works better than original. Still getting used to all the features, love the door-in-door access, freezer is hard to open sometimes...

A definite improvement over my Samsung refrigerator which had an awful ice machine and water dispenser. Love that this ice machine is in the door, freeing up more shelf space. Never thought I would like a door-in-door design, but am actually finding it quite useful. The only thing I miss about my old fridge is the separate deli drawer. I don't like having to open both fridge drawers to access the deli drawer.

This refrigerator is great on space. Love the luxury of having so much space. HATE the ice maker. Makes 7 small peices in an hour. Doesn't fill the litte bucket over night. Not great for a large family. I will have to purchase additional ice maker for the Freezer. Freezer is ok on space but now I will loose some space. Good thing I have a additional Freezer. Water is cold for the first 4 oz then the water gets room temperature. Overall happy with the appliance, NOT happy with the fact that at this price I have to buy an additional ice maker.

I like these refrigerators but wish the ice makers weren’t so small. No one tell you when you are buying them you loose ice maker capacity. And I wish the 3 drawer would come out a little further. It barely opens.

We bought this refrigerator to replace the old side-by-side we bought when we built our new house 16 years ago. The door-in-door feature is great for those items you always seem to need to quickly grab from the frig without opening the entire (or even half) of the refrigerator section. The interior is well laid out and everything is easy to access. I'm not 100% sold on the large drawer freezer, which does not really lend itself to organization. I'm sure it's just something that takes getting used to. Overall, we are well pleased with this refrigerator which is a definite upgrade from our old frig.

I have always loved G.E. products. I replaced a Samsung refrigerator with this G.E. It is much better and stouter than the Samsung which was a lemon piece of garbage. That being said. The only negatives I would have would be with the ice maker (all the newer refrigerators have smaller capacity ice bins. The G.E. is small. Also, the drink and ice dispenser is lower on the front door than I would like. Other than that it is a very well made unit

We are very pleased with this GE appliance. It replaces a similar Samsung product that was also an excellent appliance with one fatal flaw; a completely worthless icemaker. We ordered the second, auxiliary icemaker with this GE refrigerator and, when finally installed, it works extremely well. Be aware that best Buy does not have access to ANY trained technicians to install the auxiliary icemaker and you will have to contact GE yourself and schedule the installation as a separate service call.

This is a very nice refrigerator. If you have ice build up around ice maker door there’s a recall for a better seal. Call GE to have it replaced. Hold cup up high when getting ice because it’s a little messy. Also, use your hand to push ice/water lever because it scratches easy with whatever you use to get ice or water.

Love the look and set up of this refrigerator. Overall happy with it but it is noisy. Ice rattles when falling into the bin as it’s made and the motor noises can get loud. Last frig was the same brand so disappointed in annoyances with this one.

I’m really happy with this fridge so far. I like that it has a third option to open the right side door. The ice maker isn’t very big but it produces enough ice to fill a few glasses full everyday and it starts making new ice cubes immediately. The bottom freezer is larger than I expected. Overall I’m pleased with this fridge and happy I purchased it.
