This cook top is sleek and adds elegance to a kitchen. Tons of compliments on it. Very satisfied with its cooking ability. Boiling is slow, but once you get the hang of transferring from electric coil or gas flame to using a ceramic cook top, cooking is a breeze. I rate it strong in these areas. What I don't like: this one is very difficult to clean. It is not as responsive to cook top cleaners as one would hope. And getting rid of cook top cleaner polish smears takes forever and a day. It is not as easy to buff clean as the instructions imply. That said, it is still easier than cleaning oven pans on a gas or electric coil stove. You will need a scratch pad made for glass cook tops and you will need the scraper made for cook tops. Never let old spills and smears stay on too long. And wipe off as many spills with damp paper towel and dry BEFORE applying polish cleaner. Knobs are very hard to get back shiny. Also, cook top will scratch easily---small annoying marks that are not seen until bright light illuminates, but still. I enjoy it and would not go back to electric coil. I would go to gas, so if you can get one in gas, that is what I would recommend. This one so far, is as good as any electric on the market today. I have only had it in use about 8 months, so bear that in mind. I can not yet comment on durability. If you were to purchase this one, I recommend getting the stainless steel trim. Would be even more beautiful. Mine is black in an all-white kitchen and blends nicely. Just the right size---5 burners is really all you need.

Stovetop fix exactly in the place of my old one. Install was easy and instructions were easy to follow. Burners heat up quickly with even heating. Overall a great cooktop for the money

I would give zero if that was a choice. This is an extremely unsafe appliance. Note that i always go out of my way to buy GE appliances so this was a huge disappointment one of the burners was not working from the beginning , i did not bother to call about it as i was busy . Only two of the burners are any use for cooking , the other three are only for warming . After 1 and half month of use (yes that's right , just 1.5months of use ) the two main burners stopped working. After three service appointments , the two burners worked, by evening one of it stopped working again and there was a smoke coming out . I called again , after two service appointments (3 weeks) the tech finally opened the appliances and the wire was burnt inside the sealed metal housing , it was in contact with the metal housing and completely burnt out. Note that this was not burnt , the first time it was opened and repaired. Is it a defective design? Why would it burn inside, same day after a service appointment? I repeatedly called and said it is a safety concern, but they don't care.

Looks nice, but that's about it! At first, this cooktop looked great, but the problems started after about 90 days. Within 5 months, I’ve had two issues: 1. Hot surface light stuck on – The top right burner’s hot surface sensor is broken. The light stays on even when the burner is cool. The only workaround is placing an ice pack on it for 20 minutes until the light finally shuts off. Annoying, but manageable. 2. Burner stuck on high – The top left large burner recently started staying on high, no matter what setting I choose. This is a serious problem. I’m now waiting for GE to come out and service the cooktop. Overall, it looks good, but the reliability has been very disappointing.

Exactly what I wanted and a great price!! I have been waiting for a great deal. Waiting paid off.

I have really enjoyed the stovetop cooking well easy to use

We bought this new electric cooktop on Nov 2024 from bestbuy.com. Its installation can only scheduled at Thanksgiving Eve. It was more unfortunate that the cooktop is a defect. One of four burners does not work. The technicians said we can use this defect electric cooktop and request a replacement on-line. We are not sure if it is safe to use a defect electric appliance, but we had no choice While waiting for a replacement. We also called Best Buy for scheduling replacement. The available date for re-installment is between 7am-7pm about a week later. We took a whole day off and waited for the technicians till 8:30 pm, there was no technician showed up even gave us a call for an update. Finally, we called Best Buy Rep and were told that no one would come as it was too late. We were asked to request an installation via online again next day. It was disappointing that a new cooktop needs 3 times of installment. The 3rd installation was scheduled more than 2 weeks later. During this period, two of four burners are completely out off work. What a disaster! We had many good experience with GE products as their quality and reliability are generally very good, thus we had purchased many GE appliances without any problems nor defects, even our previous GE cooktop worked well for almost 20 years. But this GE product does meet our expectation. It is so disappointing to have such a experience during holiday season.

Excellent Best Buy came to my house for onsite first told me which ones would work and said this one was almost perfect fit. It is perfect and fit in my space. Thank you Best Buy and Geek squad for making this easy.

Is it easy to install? Fits, looks and works great as well. This is the second one I bought. The first one was perfectly fine, however, the circle in the top versus where the heating element was aligned was slightly off. Poor quality. The second one seems to be much better.

The radiant cook top was exactly as described and fit perfectly in the granite counter top of a much older cooktop that had been cracked (it was over 22 years old). The new cooktop works great. Service was great, nice people to deal with.

Just bought & installed on Saturday, then found to be a defect, one of four burner does not work :( Bestbuy says I can return it but... it's already attached on my countertop. what the.... Tried to contact GE if they can repair, then found they don't answer calls during weekend. Their online schedule shows the earlier repair service would be available after 2 weeks.... what a disaster!!! The other 3 burners are working so I guess I will have to wait 2 weeks to use it as it should be used. I like the color and the design.... but I do not like the service availability.

This cooktop replaces our older, different brand one that cracked recently after use. This new one works great and the extra features are helpful too. I choose white because it goes with our kitchen appliances and doesn't show scratches.

Clean look, easy to clean. Needed an extra piece to fix existing opening.

The cooktop was for a new kitchen remodel and fits in perfectly. It's easy to clean and works exactly as it said in the description. The edges are finished off and it slid in easily into the new cabinet that was made for it. Is very efficient, cooks food perfectly. Highly recommend.

The best Stove top I have. I had the original one from GE, too, when I moved into my house 15 years ago. It got damaged in an accident. I replaced it with the same make and model. Has worked for me like a charm. Cleans easy, and is a beautiful sleek design

Overall I like the cooktop. It heats evenly with no cold spots. I love the power boil function. That really is a great feature. The only reason I gave it 4 ( should be 4 1/2) stars is because it is difficult to keep clean. Just make sure to get the correct cleaning products and use a soft cleaning cloth. The knobs do come off easily for cleaning. All in all this cooktop makes a nice addition to our kitchen and make it look more up to date.
