It was well-rated online, and we have not had any problems with its cooling performance. However, it was slightly loud upon installation, and 2.5 years into service it is so loud you can hear it from far away. Putting in a service call might not even be worth it given the price. Bummed out on this purchase.

Awesome refrigerator!

I looked at CR (which actually wasn't all the helpful), read tons of reviews, and consulted with my friends and family and steered towards GE. This refrigerator is awesome! The freezer is way bigger than our last, and it's not really loud. Best Buy was amazing as well. They delivered it EXACTLY when they said they would. That is truly rare these days!

No matter what settings you have it set at it wont get colder than 40 on the middle shelf and 41 in the drawers. In the full manual that you can only download online it says to keep it at 34-40 degrees, so it should be able to get close to 34 degrees. It also takes forever to get back down to the 40ish degree mark after you have the door open for a minute putting groceries away. Milk spoils before the expiration date constantly and shredded cheese gets all clumped together. A repairman for GE came out while I was working and told my wife that it is working fine, and if you set it to the warmer temperature, it'll get colder. That we had it set too cold. Really? He set it back down to the middle range which is where we started out with it anyways, and by the time I got off work it was 45 degrees in there. Make sure you have the opportunity to test it right away before the return window ends. I bought it a few weeks ahead of time before we moved into our new house and had it out in the garage till two days before we moved in so the return window closed. I wouldnt reccomend this refrigerator as its not worth the risk to find out if you'll get a defective one or not. You would think with that many negative reviews on it, not cooling they would have had a recall on this thing by now, and/or stopped making it, but.I guess the rewards outweigh the risks to them.

DO not buy, bad service and money to Dictator Xi. Looks like these guys have adopted a fix it in the field vs quality control in the manufacturing process. LIke software. It puts the burden of managing that repair on the consumer.

Consumers need to be aware that refrigerators don’t come all put together. You have to pay for the extra service fee to get the refrigerator put in your house and the handles put on. The delivery person was extremely rude and left the refrigerator in the doorway and acted like we were stupid not to know that. My awesome son-in-law moved the refrigerator into the house by himself and put the handles on.
