We have tips about what to try when food isn't baking as you expect it to on page 20 of the manual; the manual is linked on the Best Buy product page for the model under the 'Features' section. If you scroll to the bottom of that section, you'll see 'User Manual'. Among other tips, we recommend ensuring heat circulation and airflow aren't blocked. We have an article on our GE Appliances website with tips about achieving the optimal performance, titled "Range & Wall Oven - Optimal Baking Performance"; that can be viewed when you look up the title and click the 'Support' tab. If you aren't able to solve the issue and think the range isn't operating as designed, our Bodewell team is available at 1-833-426-3393. They are open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 8PM ET, and a technician would be glad to examine the range for any issues. Seems like it smokes whenever I’m using the oven, the smoke detector goes off often, sorry I bought it , no clock on the stove, it’s not steady ,it burns good but the burners are not steady

We'd like to assist with your range oven smoking. A small amount of smoke or odor from your new oven is not uncommon during the first few times the oven is used. This is caused by the heating of new parts, insulating materials, or the tape used in shipping. The smoke or odor should dissipate after the first few uses. A slight odor is also normal when a new cooktop is used the first few times.

I used a thermometer to measure 125 F at front and 165F at the rear of stovetop. My previous stove was warm but i could leave my hand on the rear stovetop all day but on this one my hand would have been slowly cooked/burned.

Posted .Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns. It is normal for the cooking surface on a gas range to be warm, or even hot to the touch when cooking. This is especially true if you have been baking or broiling for an extended period of time as the oven is usually vented up through the backsplash and heat from the oven is then directed downward toward the cooktop. -Vikki@GEAppliances

Took that back and reordered. After waiting 3 more weeks the new one came with a dent. After promising us a 50 dollar gift card were still waiting. Will never buy from Best Buy again.

Looks like it was beat up in transit. Doesn't seem to have hindered performance but I expect more when purchasing something new.
