Unsure if when cooking with a pan if it is normal for the black coating over eye to lighten up in perforated area or not. Older models from GE has two smaller burners and two larger ones at same size, one of each size in back and front horizontal row. This one has a large eye with extra ring of burners to come on for larger pans via dial, and it is on the RF. It has two small burners LF and RR, and a mid-sized burner at LR. I would prefer having two small burners on left and other two on right side.
