The serviceman encountered some unexpected difficulties with the size of the hole in our counter but he went out of his way to adjust for it and make the installation successful the first time. We appreciated that a great deal. The unit seems to be working fine.

I fact the back was having lot of scratches when opened 2. Knobs are made of plastic and melted in two days. Ordered a replacement stainless steel knobs from Amazon

Posted .We'd like to assist with the scratches on your cooktop by providing some tips. Cleaners that contain Oxalic Acid, such as Bar Keepers Friend Soft Cleanser, can often help reduce the appearance of the scratches. For visible scratches, there is not an approved repair method to cover the scratches. or additional care and cleaning information, you can refer here:

I read all the reviews. It's true the knobs are plastic, BUT I do not have any issue with any melting. Obviously the burner was turned up too high. This cooktop is a must have.

Heats well ..they have an extra bigger burner in the middle that is good for bigger pans or for faster heating. Live mine!

First, our prior GE stove had a main gas line knob that would turn off the gas. This model is missing that feature. Furthermore, you will likely melt at least one knob. Finally, it is pretty tight to use all 5 burners at the same time if your cooktop is against a wall on either the left or right side.

When I wanted to buy it Best Buy was the only place I could get it. It wasn't even available online. I bought it and it was delivered promptly to my door. Thanks Best Buy.

The cooktop does not scratch easily as some reviewers indicated. You clean stainless with appropriate cleaner and the grates stay in place. I love the cooktop. I do wish it had indicator lights when on otherwise perfect.

Good 5 burner cooktop. Easy to install. Burners light quickly and are well spaced. Easy to clean. Grills are heavy duty and look good.
