After hunting for a new range hood to replace the prehistoric range hood in our kitchen, my wife and I couldn't be happier with this product. Well lit and a powerful fan helps cut down on cooking smells that might otherwise overwhelm our kitchen.

I’ve had this vent for 6 months. I bought this vent to match my range, and it’s not very powerful at all. I sear meat and vent just can’t handle all the smoke. I have to open up all my windows and turn on ceiling fans to clear out the smoke buildup in my kitchen. It only sucks up on one side (left), even though it has screens on both sides. The other side (right) is just for looks. Wimpy :(

Is not installed at moment. My husband needs to cut opening to vent outside before installers will install.

Did come with a dent but it fit! We have the stove in a corner so needed concaved vent

The GE 30" convertible range hood took a little longer that the advertised 10 minutes to install, but the installation process was actually quite simple. To reduce the heat signature from the hood lights, the halogen bulbs were switch out to compatible 35 watt LED bulbs. Works perfect!

We purchased this range hood to replace an older one. We love how quiet the fan is, especially compared to our old one. One thing we didn't notice that we wish we would have was the use of halogen bulbs in this unit. We could do without the extra heat and would have preferred LEDs.

I bought this as part of a kitchen remodel. It fit perfectly where the old vent fan was installed. Not too difficult to install. The multiple fan and light settings are great. You can even purchase a remote, although I'm not sure why someone would... :)

Great range so far. Much quieter than our other one which is what we were going for. Also like that it has the double filters so the top doesn’t get as nasty like our old one.

The 3 speed fan settings and 2 settings for the lights are great when cooking. The dim setting also works great as a night light over the stove.Stainless steel makes it easy to clean.

Had a little trouble installing it by myself but finally got it. Matches our other appliances perfect. Works great.

This is my first purchase of a vent hood after removing the one that came with my house. I am very pleased with this and I like that it has LED lights. It was a little expensive compared to other models but it is worth spending the extra money.

A perfect compliment to our new slate GE range. The four speed fan makes quick work of smoke and smells and the two halogen lights do a nice job of illuminating the stovetop.

Simple hood and was easy to install. But definitely is easier with 2 people but can be done by yourself.

Great once you get the bugs worked out. Installation was simple enough but after turning it on the first time the fan was making a horrible noise. Had to take it back down to figure out the problem - the squirrel-cage fan was rubbing on the motor mount bracket above it. The fan is held on the motor shaft with a concentric friction clamp/nut, and if the nut isn't tightened enough the fan can slide up the shaft - and hit the motor mount. Simple solution is loosen the nut and slide the fan a very small amount down the shaft so it no longer rubs, and tighten the nut back down. Unfortunately this is not mentioned in the troubleshooting guide, which it absolutely should be since it is common in the reviews. Happy with it now that I've fixed it.

I thought I got an upgraded hood (from what the builder installed 19 years ago) but was disappointed that there is only one light setting - no dim setting.

I only replaced my old hood because it did not match my new stainless steel appliances. The quality is very poor. Even though it had tape over it, there are scratches that are very noticeable near the light/fan switches. In fact I bought some little magnets to put over them because they were driving me insane. The box says 1 person, 10 minutes. Maybe for a professional but it took my husband and I several hours to install and it was not fun! That is why I did not return it because it was so difficult to install, I decided to just live with the scratches and the poor quality. What happened to the high quality we used to get from GE?

Easy install. Looks nice. Plenty of suction power. Fairly quite on low power. Pretty loud on high power! There's a one-way flapper valve at the exit to the duct that rattles quite a bit on high power.
