We have it installed as a ventless over a range. Even when it’s on high it doesn’t suction any air into the filters. As a matter of fact, it feels like the fan is blowing down not drawing air up. See the flame being blown when held up to the fan and the smoke not going up just staying around the napkin when held down by the cooktop. All recommendations for distance were followed. It’s worse when you put in the charcoal filter. Don’t waste your money, we’ll be buying a different one. The lights work well.

It's a nice price point, but had some issues initially. the light fixtures were loose upon receipt. Nowhere did the description explain there's only a single big fan on the left. There are 2 screens just like our previous GE hood which had 2 flans. I was annoyed at first but it does work well enough. I even put an air quality monitor next to it to verify. It's more quiet than our previous 13 yo model. I did buy a charcoal filter even though it vents outside which requires screws (not provided). The manual that it comes with so laughably vague about how to change the bulbs because it covers like 10 models which are all different. I would suggest replacing the bulbs with LEDs because the ones it comes with get VERY hot and the hue is an unpleasant yellow. The bulbs are GU22 which are probably the most annoying to install. They also are a bit harder to find. I know because my house is filled with them as they're supposed to be more energy efficient.

The light isn’t as bright as I thought it would be and the top of the hood gets hot when the light is on for more than 10 minutes. The owners manual says that for recirculation installs you have to use a charcoal filter and that one is provided with this model but it was not included. Overall, it does the job I guess. Still need to get a filter for it so we’ve only used the fan once or twice but it worked well the few times it was used.

It was easy to install, works great and looks good too. Great vslue cir the price!

This did not come with a cord. Called parts and they said they didn't make the cord anymore. Called GE appliances and they had the cord we could purchase. How do you sell a product that you don't make the cord for anymore? We didn't have the option to hard wire. The item itself is quite nice. Its a nice size, quiet and easy to use. The lights are bright but get hot. Once we got the cord we were happy with the purchase.

This is easy to use and stylish. Very quiet and it does the job of pulling the steam and smell away from the range.

Range Hood. We replaced the one in our kitchen (that was 30 years old). Love this new one, it's so quiet yet powerful and very nice looking.

Like the hood and it looks nice, quiet. The only part I am not thrilled with is light lights are in front, one on either side and light does not light the whole stove (back burners) as well as my single light in the middle on my old one. I can see well enough and I am sure I will get used to it. Also the charcoal filters do not come with it you must order them.

the unit has 3 speeds of the fan which work great, and the light has 2 different levels of brightness. so far not having any issues

This hood vent is convertible. I have a ductless system and this vent is certainly doing its job. It offers multi speeds and runs quiet. Installation was a bit tricky but came along nicely. The lighting is good too. It has two options of light. It looks very nice. I am pleased with this purchase.
