So far so good. Performance is good, only 2 issues, I wish it came with a carbon filter already for the recirculation option and the installation instructions are a little unclear. Eventually made it work.

I like the look of the hood. Real simple, clean look. I also like that there isn't a large GE symbol on the hood so there are no issues mixing/matching with current appliance. Multiple settings for the fan and lights are nice. I Also like that the lights are in front of the hood so it covers the entire stove. My only real negative is that the vent cover that goes from the hood to the ceiling isn't one long piece so there is a seam. Not real noticeable but I know its there.

This range hood looks great over our stove, and the fan is relatively quiet. My only wish is that the light would be a little more warm in tone. I think the light cover is what causes a stark white illumination. Other than that, however, it's was certainly a worthwhile purchase.

This replaced a microwave oven/hood. Install was easy for me, and everything I needed was shipped with the unit, except for the cord to plug it in. Looks nice, lights and fan works so much better than the the two microwaves we previously had.

this works well. My biggest complaint is that it does not include a charcoal filter. The filter is only necessary if you are not venting it to the outside. Neither Best Buy nor anyone else had them in stock. In fact you can only get them from GE. GE won't ship them fast either so it was a good two weeks before I could use the hood properly. That was my biggest complaint

Love this hood so much! Extremely quiet even on the high setting. I love the dimmable lights, however I wish they were a cooler white color, will be switching them out. I also wish this came with the charcoal filter, had to purchase separately and it makes a huge difference! Overall though extremely happy with this purchase!

The matching range hood unit to our new stove is perfect, It works great. I love the 3 speed fans, but the 3rd one is so powerful and little loud. I hardly use it. I think its only necessary if you burnt something and there's a lot of smoke. lol I

We purchased this as part of an appliance overhaul of our kitchen. We wanted the hood to match our range (slate). We replaced an 18-year-old suite of GE appliances, including range hood (all still working fine). An instant rebate on fridge and range from Bestbuy covered the cost of this item. We basically got a cosmetic improvement. This range hood looks high-end for what it is, but performance is not really better than the one replaced. A weird design change has resulted in the fan being placed on one side of the vent. Although the hood looks like it will draw air symmetrically from the range top, it does not! It does a good job drawing from the left side of the range top, but very poorly from the right. As the one who does most of the cooking, all I can say is "aaarrrggghhh!" Also, our set-up vents externally, but this thing returns 20% of the air into the kitchen through the front vent despite the presence of an insert to redirect the air flow. The installation was easy, as it fit the old footprint exactly.

Great Range hood. Fan motor broke after a bout a year but GE covered the repair, so, no big whoop. Looks good, functions great.

Nice looking design and easy to install. But missing the remote and able to get one from customer support.

Basic range hood. Seems like it could cost $100 less. Unit is lightweight and easy to install. Suction seems good even though the fan is on the left side. Screws for attaching the vent bracket were not the right size.

This is a great vent hood, but the installation in my situation was not as easy as the instructions stated. It took 2 of us to get it hung under the cabinets, and we had to install some gasket material at the vent connection. Otherwise it was a simple install, and it looks great, and works very well.

This hood is ok. I think expected a little more from GE. I don’t feel the vent was appropriately placed, and it’s a little on the loud side. It looks really good, but performance is just meh. Not the worst, not great, either.

Great location of controls on front right. Easy to install, and matches all my other black GE appliances. Blends in with the kitchen under the original re-painted cabinets. Doesn't stick out like some of these newer gigantic modern hoods with no cabinets around. Just comes with a little incandescent light bulb, but replaced with a bright daylight led and gives good light to cook in addition to the kitchen lighting.

Easy to install and it doesn’t make as much noise. For the price I purchased you are getting a lot for your money.

The hood is slimmer than the one it replaced, It is a standard fit and fit perfectly above the stove; The hood matches the appliances and does not seem to fingerprint smudge heavily. The fan is quiet and the light puts out enough light to illuminate the stove and the kitchen area around the stove. I like this hood as it is a great replacement for the original hood I replaced. The hood does an efficient job of pulling the fumes out of the kitchen.

Weighed less than the one we took down and was easier to install than we thought. Its so much quieter than the one I had before and it looks so simple and clean, which matches my style

Ok, so the one thing i hate is that i had to order the filters separately which is why i gave it 4 stars. When i got the correct ones in everything is great. Like the lights. Fan definitely performs well enough unless you are trying to take off. All in all a good purchase.
