It is great looking in my kitchen-- not a huge black monolith. The interior is really really spacious, and the shelves are molded into the door-- no more little bars that can break off and let the food on the door fall on my foot! The extra glass shelves in the main interior add one more shelf than my old fridge had-- increased versatility for storage and configuration for the contents

There are no frills, just plenty of space for the extra items we find on sale and stock up. The glass shelves were the selling point for us as we have had the wire type before and bottles wouldn't stand up properly.

White is the color, but other colors are available. Great to use as a second overflow fridge for day to day items you want to have on hand. We have a pool and we use for keeping our drinks cold and nearby in the summer.

Thicker glass on shelves would’ve better

The fridge also had some dings on it...This wasnt an open box purchase. I went to the store and because they dont have this model ok display, they couldn't get me the screws. They call GE for me, I spoke to the man and their response was fpr me to take the fridge back to the store and start an exchange LOL Yeah, the frisge is already in the house and out of the box. It's not that easy. We haven't been able to find the screws that go with the handles so we have a fridge with no handles.

The top freezer also is very roomy. We are on a budget and believe we have a very nice refrigerator for a good price.

For this reason, I thought it was not working and asked for a replacement within the small timeframe returns are allowed. They say 15 days, but I was notified after about 7 days that it was no longer returnable. I canceled the return after it seemed to work. It was confirmed by their overseas customer service, but they still sent out a replacement, and I got a call that they were on their way. I told them I did cancel. the delivery/set up guys were great. This GE refrigerator seems to have problems maintaining constistent temperatures. I noticed last week that the freezer, which I set to the coldest setting, was almost 40 degrees! It should be under zero. That was after it had been unopened all night. The refrigerator part was also way too warm. I'm watching it to see how it is. I still have my old one working, so we're using this GE only as an overflow one. I did fill both compartments about halfway, to help maintain temperatures. Not real pleased with this due to the warm temperatures. The design is bare bones, which we were looking forward to after using a side-by-side Kitchenaid for the last 13 years. It gets plenty cold, but I freeze my arms while trying to reach into the narrow space.

Since this is a second fridge, that is not an issue for us
