Plenty of room and the looks are fine out in the garage. The reason I rated it down a couple stars is because the magnetic strips that hold the freezer door closed seem very weak. Several times I have let the refrigerator door closed on its own and it has popped the freezer door open. Three times I have come back to the garage to notice the freezer door open and the contents starting to defrost. I was thinking of returning the unit, but for now trying to be more vigilant about closing the refrigerator door softer.

Posted .We're glad you reached out as it is not unusual on a two-door refrigerator like yours for one door to pop open when the other door is being closed. The refrigerator and freezer sections are connected by air channels to allow air to pass between them. Slamming or vigorously pushing a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door open. The following suggestions may help prevent this from happening. Level the refrigerator so the front is slightly higher than the back. Check to be sure the door gasket is sealing properly. Consider wiping down the door gasket with a baking soda and water solution especially on the hinge side and then rub a small amount of petroleum jelly or paraffin wax along the gasket. Keeping the gaskets clean and lubricated prevents them from dragging and restricting door closure. Finally, consider placing heavier items in the freezer door compartments to provide some ballast (weight). -Vikki@GEAppliances

This one works very well and fits my needs excellently. I am very happy with this buy.

This may be an issue with the delivery/set up company, as they assembled before arrival, putting the handles on the wrong side. Great fridge, I will never use their installation services again

My New GE Refrigerator

I saw where other people complained about noise but I don't think it's loud at all! And I had great service at the Best Buy store. From the guy who greeted me when we arrived to the salesman who assisted in the purchase of the fridge. The price wasn't bad either.

Also the light isn't as bright as I had hoped. But overall it's a good refrigerator. There are no broken parts and the fridge doesn't tilt. Would be nice if the crisper came with adjustable holes to control the temperature of the contents between vegetables and fruit. An older cheaper and smaller model came with that in the GE 13.5 cu. ft. model but not this which is really strange.

It has been running pretty smoothly and quietly doesn't make any noise that disturbs my sleep. and it does save me energy. Love it

I knew it didn't have a freezer light when I ordered it but it was the one we wanted. Just added a battery operated led light with motion sensor in the freezer to solve that minor issue.

New Refrigerator

The refrigerator was in stock and was able to be delivered pretty promptly. Fridge is great. Storage capacity is perfect. Nothing fancy and I think we got a great fridge for the $. Delivery was top notch!

It doesn’t SEAL, It pops open. We went into the garage and saw that it was slightly open and it had been opened for awhile because things started to de frost. No one had gotten into the freezer. We bought a child lock and that has solved the problem. We shouldn’t have to do that but…

We bought this to replace an old refrigerator. It's so hard to find a fridge without a built-in ice maker, so we were pleased to find this one. The only thing I'd change is I wish there were a light in the freezer instead of just the refrigerator.
