I live in a bottom floor apartment, about 850 Sqft. A lot of my things started getting covered with mold and I ended up breaking down to buy this dehumidifier. BEST. DEHUMIDIFIER. EVER. !! I know it’s $200, but it is SOOO worth it. With in the first HOUR it collected so much water I was blown away. It tells you the humidity level where it’s sitting (mine was 70% yesterday) and it’s down to 30% now in less than a day. I also like that it was super straight forward to use. You literally just plug it up and it’s ready to go. The only thing I was confused about is how the little wheels for the bottom of it were put it inside of the water catcher. So when I went to empty it, I didn’t notice the wheels till later. Other than that, 10/10 recommend. You will not regret it and it’s worth every penny. The air feels so different in here now and I’m glad I got this.

We have two of these, this one on the main floor and a slightly smaller one upstairs and they do great when we're night flushing the house to keep it comfortable, even when it's really humid outside. We also got a $25 rebate from DTE after purchasing this.

Powerful, compact, & quite. Works perfectly for what i need it for. It does make the temperature in the room hotter. But its not unbearable. Hard to install the wheels.

Works wonderfully! Being used in a 29ft RV camper and it dehumidifies the whole place within an hour. It does fill up pretty fast but I am in a humid area. It definitely makes it through the night without filling up so I consider that a decent size for the space. It is easy to move around with the wheels which is super helpful when not being used. It does blow out hot air sometimes when its working hard.... but frankly, I don't blame it. Again, it's crazy humid here. All in all its amazing for what I needed it for and seems reliable after being run hard for nearly a month now.

Good size for the space and easy to operate. Glad I bought the smaller 35-pint machine. The 50-pint would have been too heavy for me to empty the water when full. The only problem is the vertical view bar on the front. I guess that is to see the water level, but it's too dark to actually see the water until I remove the bucket to empty it. Once the bucket is removed there's enough light to see through the bar. Otherwise, working great!

The GE 35 pint dehumidifier does a great job of keeping the humidity level in our condo very comfortable. We live by the beach in a very humid environment and it helps keep a 45 to 55% level. Our AC comes from a complex wide source utilizing an air handler which does not alter the humidity. The water collection chamber is large enough to last all night before it becomes full. It is also quiet enough to allow sleeping. After using this for almost a month. I would definitely recommend this dehumidifier.

I purchased the dehumidifier 27 days ago and used it every night without problem. Hawaii is very humid so the bathroom can get extremely damp. This machine impressively brings the humidity down quickly in the shower stall, floor, towels. The size works well for my small bath and it wheels away into the closet when not in use.

I really like this new portable dehumidifier, purchased for a small room behind our garage. The room can be cold and damp even in sunny SoCal and this really does the trick! It has lots of great features like turning off when the reservoir is full. Reasonably priced, easy to use, and best of all, I was able to purchase the same day from my local Best Buy. The only others I could find were online and would have taken at least a few days to be shipped.

I live in Florida and my AC unit has been struggling to keep up with the 95+ degree temperatures this summer. We purchased this dehumidifier to work with the AC to keep the house comfortable. It was very easy to set up and has helped tremendously! It's been running almost non-stop since we purchased it and, although the temperature in the house is still higher than we'd like, with less humidity in the air there is a noticeable difference in how "hot" the house feels. Some information: I would not consider this unit to be quiet... but by the same token, I wouldn't say it's loud either. If you're sitting near where it is you'll hear it working and notice the difference when it's off, but the sound isn't obtrusive. Where we have our unit located it's running almost 24/7. We have to empty the bucket 2 or 3 times a day. This unit has an option too hook up a hose and run it directly to a drain, thus eliminating the need to empty the bucket. We've had this running for a month now and there's been no change to our electric bill, as if the energy it uses almost equals the energy it's saving from our AC. My only concern is the handle for the bucket. The whole bucket is made of plastic and it can be quite heavy when full. I'm not sure how well the handle will hold up over time.

Really works well. Not too loud. I can't beleive how much moisture its been removing! Made well. I leave mine on low all day and it fills up the tank once a day. Could never get below 53% Humidity with my AC on before I purchased this. Now it maintains 38-40% all day. It will take a couple weeks to get it down. Worth it!

This unit helped dry out my basement after we lost power my basement flooded. It’s set up and use are easy and simple. It seems to pull a good amount of moisture out of the environment. I highly recommend. Basement measurements: 30x20 w/ 8 foot ceilings.

Effective but heats up small spaces

This dehumidifier works very well - I have stopped reviewing items until a few months of ownership since BB does not allow review editing (which is a retail-industry standard thing...) for some strange reason, but its been durable for the past few months and hopefully it'll hold up over at least a few years. Its very inefficient for smaller spaces though. It draws about 400-500 watts fluctuating based on fan speed, indicating that the compressor has a single stage 'wide open' setting. It outputs a significant amount of heat (not surprising considering the power draw). It does, however, suck a HUGE amount of humidity from the air. This is probably better for a large space - a lot larger than my 12 by 12 office space for example. If you buy this for a smaller space, it'll drive up the heat and cycle on and off frequently causing extra wear - but if you DO end up using this in a smaller space, run the fan on high. The power draw penalty is negligible and it'll circulate more air through it, remove more humidity, and turn off sooner. And its effective enough that this extra airflow wont result in a decrease in de-humidification performance. For a medium to larger space, this is a great choice imo, and has been effective for these south MS summers we have to endure where the air feels like soup, but smaller spaces could use something smaller or more efficient and I would imagine that this would even be more important for people who do not live in climates where the humidity is sky high.

Bought this for my daughter's basement apartment to control and minimize the humidity in the space during the warm weather. The unit is well sized for an individual room or living room space and is effective in removing moisture. The blower is a bit loud, so is not the best for a sleeping space unless it is running continually. So far, it has worked admirably.

We recently moved into our new house which has a finished basement. We had noted that the previous owner had a dehumidifier and thought it best to do the same. I first ordered something smaller on Amazon but returned the item as we felt it was not gathering enough water after working for 24hr. We decided to get this one instead as it was in stock near us and had a solid review rating. We were not disappointed. Just overnight we could feel a slight difference in the air and had a nice amount of water accumulated in the tank. We now keep it on the smart setting and feel like the air is a lot better: no more “coldish” dampness! Also a nice plus is the fact that you do not hear the unit when it is on! For information we have two finished rooms in the basement that total about 400sqft and this dehumidifier does a perfect job.

We moved to Southern Illinois into an apartment we couldn't see before we got there due to Covid. The apartment was musty and my humidity reader said humidity was at 80%! Gross. So we tried to find a dehumidifier that had good reviews and was relatively affordable. Our apartment is 1,080 sq. feet with a big open living room to kitchen w/ a half bath & an upstairs with 2 bedrooms& full bath. We ended up buying a GE 20 pint dehumidifier for the upstairs of the apartment, because this one was only working downstairs, however I wish we would've just gotten two of these. We keep ours on nonstop and empty it about twice a day. In the beginning we emptied it almost 4 times. This machine is relatively quiet, but I do have to turn up the tv a little extra. Even though it is set to nonstop, it occasionally stops for about 5 minutes, but I think that is just part of it's cycle to rest briefly. So far we are super satisfied with this dehumidifier and the filter is really easy to clean as well.

This GE dehumidifier is exactly what we were looking for using in one of our bedrooms. It includes all the features and specifications we needed, at a very competitive price. Assembly and set up was pretty straightforward, although getting the casters fully seated into their sockets took some doing. The unit works great and appears really well-designed and built. We expect to get many years of use from this dehumidifier.

After a roof leak, workers suggested that I add a dehumidifier to the closet to remove excess humidity from the floors and walls before these areas were removed and repaired. The GE has helped the process. It is fairly quiet and I was amazed at how much water is pulled out each day.

This dehumidifier is invaluable during extremely hot weather. It automatically turns on and off according to the humidity level in the home. There's an alert to let you know when to empty it. All you do is plug it in and go. It's quiet and my house is a lot more comfortable, in fact, I'm running my AC about 50% less.
