This dehumidifier is invaluable during extremely hot weather. It automatically turns on and off according to the humidity level in the home. There's an alert to let you know when to empty it. All you do is plug it in and go. It's quiet and my house is a lot more comfortable, in fact, I'm running my AC about 50% less.

This GE dehumidifier has been a great addition to our basement. The QUIET way it operates removing excess humidity from this area has been very noticeable. Easy to use with push button settings that are designed to be user friendly. The garden hose constant drain connection has worked well. This unit is a keeper!
Also, can't say enough about Best Buy's same day delivery.

This is a perfect size unit for the laundry/closet area I am using it in. The unit is very quiet and have a "Smart Dry" setting that works very well in the environment it is located in. The staff at the St. Joseph MO Best Buy gave a great customer experience! RJ was exceptional, as was Savanna and the young Geek Squad member who was my initial contact at the store. Great people and a great product!

Our dehumidifier was delivered promptly in excellent condition with packing materials to protect it.
Very easy to set up and has been working like a charm since the day we got it. We are using it in our basement and it has made such a difference. Would definitely recommend.

Very compact and much quieter and more compact than our old unit, which had failed. Only thing is that after a few months it’s starting to vibrate the plastic panels a bit, which is usually how the noisiness starts. Fingers crossed that it doesn’t start rattling itself to bits like the old one.

Like most I depend on reviews. This unit is easy to operate and does a fantastic job of removing moisture from the air of my basement. I decided on 35 pint as opposed to the 50 which has proven to be more than enough for the task. It shuts off when full and easy to empty no mess or spillage. Highly recommend it you won't be disappointed.

This is not my first dehumidifier and it works fine and is pretty quiet. I wish it were a bit bigger - but I get exercise at least (it is in the basement). My only complaints are that 1. I wish they had designed one corner as a pour spout to more easily empty the water into containers and 2. I wish the bottom water compartment was easier to remove - there really aren't handles on the sides, you need to pull it out onto floor and then pick it up. Good value for the price I guess.

Does The Job, But With A Few Setbacks

It does what it's supposed to and that's draw moisture. It does that quite well, but there are some shortfalls. First, the unit is off by 10-12 percentage points compared to the actual humidity in the room. For example, if you set it to 50%RH, it's going to run until the room is somewhere between 39-42% so you'll need to adjust accordingly. This fills up fast in the Summer so if you're looking to keep your RH regulated to ~50, be prepared to empty this at least once every 24 hours. It's great for the price, and it's been rocking in a 12x12 room, but for anything larger, spend up and get a model with a pump and a more reliable internal hygrometer.

Put in our walk-in closet between master bath and bedroom and has taken dampness and moisture out of those rooms and beyond. Easy to carry/empty after it signals it is full. Been able to turn up the temp on the A/C as it doesn’t have to work as hard.

It's nice to have a 'smart' control. When I bought my house, there was an ancient dehumidifier. It quit working but I didn't know it. I thought I just most not have humidity. Well, duh, eventually I realized it was turning on and not taking humidity out of the air. With high temps and months of the old one not working, I needed one ASAP. I didn't want to spend a ton. This fit the bill. I was surprised how quickly the bucket filled up: a. I really needed it! b. It really works! It shut itself off when the bucket was full, which took only a few hours. I now use the hose to have it drip into the drain in the basement. With the "smart" control you turn it on and leave it. So far, so good. It works and the price was fair. I do wonder if the BB brand would have been just as good though. I trust GE thought too.

works perfectly , took it out of the box, plugged it in and ran it for about 5 hours and VOILA ! the water container showed full and was full of water and humidity went down from 70 percent to 45 percent. I like this appliance very much as still use it on and off now for over 2 weeks now. I use this for a 700 square foot apartment

Quiet and efficient. Keeps my damp basement at 45-50% humidity. Easy to set up, easy to empty bucket and also easy to connect to drainage hose. Note: this needs a 5/8"hose; a 1/2" hose will not fit the connection on the dehumidifier.

We moved in Five years ago and inherited the basement dehumidifier. It was awfully noisy for most of that time. This one is so quiet you wonder how it could possibly be doing anything but I'll tell ya, it does the job all but silently. Great price too!

Very Quiet. The quietest dehumidifier I have ever owned, even on high speed. Most of the time I use the medium speed and it does fine. The controls are easy to use and it does all it should. Hopefully it will last longer than 4 summers. That is all I got from my last dehumidifier.

At first I.was skeptical about the dehumidifier. But after letting it run continuously I am a believer. The amount of water I dump out is unbelievable. Even though it doesn't smell muggy ormlist in my basement I dump full trays of water out daily. It works just give it some time

Non-stop use going strong so far

I have been running this thing nearly non-stop since I got it about a month ago to keep our indoor humidity in check. It worked really well once I got it centrally located in my ~1,000 sqft place. We shall see how long it will last running all of the time. Not sure if it was designed for prolonged continued use. My neighbor has the exact same unit (got it about a month before I got mine), so we can compare the two over a longer period of time to see if their quality is consistent.

Using this dehumidifier has been easy. The timer to turn off or on has been super useful.
Tip: You will need to use some oil or other lubricant to get the wheels on, otherwise is it very difficult.

I have a small condo and this collects water so quickly! It provides a nice white noise but nothing too loud.
Very easy to empty water. Handle works nicely.
Nicely priced too- nice quality. Would recommend!
