    Out of Warranty by a Month!

    I bought three of the same model of this air conditioner to put into three different rooms. The one in my Bedroom conveniently stopped working a month after I would have been still in warranty! Came to Best Buy reviews to found that a lot of other people have experienced the same thing. I just had to pay $160 diagnostic fee for a technician to tell me that I can’t be fixed because GE doesn’t even make products to repair this easy as it was made in 2021. Not to mention I will now be out $300 for the price of the A/C. Further, the technician informed me that even if the parts were available, it would cost more than the AC itself. To date, I have no other problems with the other two A/Cs I’m hoping it stays that way. I am not going to say don’t buy it, I will say PLEASE BUY WARRANTY!

    I have only had the ac unit for three years, used it only during the summer & it doesnt drain properly, the screws are rusted. Such a shame water shoots every where even after storing properly and cleaning. **STAY CLEAR JUNK**

    My second one purchased and just like the first it stopped working before the year. Unit would not stay on and just beep on and off. Not worth the money please save yourself the headache and buy a different brand!

    Does Not Get Cold

    Bought this less than a week ago, arrived 2 days ago, and I instantly installed into the window. Turned it to ‘Cool’ mode 64 deg, and after an hour realized only cool air was coming out as if it was in constant ‘fan mode’. Room cooled from 78 to 76. So i tried every other mode, speed, reset the AC, tried again, still just cool humid air coming out. I dont know if its just this one that has the issues, but i did see some other reviews about lack of cold air. In fact, even as i type this, i have the AC on getting hit in the face with humid 74 degree air just hoping it will actually get cool....Then i realized it was GE and remembered i didnt have any appliance from them that either worked correctly or lasted long. In the past i bought Frigidaire A/Cs and never had issues with them. I cannot recommend buying GE AC’s based on this garbage.

      Hello,

      We're so sorry to hear that your air conditioner is not cooling well and can understand your frustration. Please take note of the following with an air conditioner: Make sure the unit is properly sized for the room. If the unit is too small, then it will not cool properly. Consider the temperature of the room when the air conditioner was first turned on. If the room was very hot it will take longer to cool the room. When heat is stored up in walls, furniture, rugs and draperies, it will take longer to cool the room down. Whenever possible, turn the air conditioner on before the room heats up. We hope this helps.     Get the extended warranty!

    Worked great until...compressor died after two years and three weeks. Warranty is one year. Never could figure out how to get wi-fi to work.

    Junk AC. Junk company

    Short and sweet this product stopped working in less than one month, after buying brand new. General Electric is the absolute worst to work with, on top of Best Buy employees not knowing what to do. Both companies keep telling me to call the other to solve the problem. 3 hours on hold later and I am giving up. I will just dispute this charge and drop it back off at Best Buy. Terrible customer service on both sides as well as a terrible product that barely cooled off my room. I’ll stick with other companies from here on out. Someone that drops $350 on a brand new product should not have to go through this nonsense.

    A/C leaks

    A/c runs good keeps room cool but it leaks and has leaked for a while and the whole time it was leaking the water went into my walls and ruined my drywall and some flooring underneath the window

    I purchased an ge wifi air conditioner last july and i notice a review that a customer had written with the same problem i have which it beeps and shuts off it will turn on and off by itself i cant even use the remote control when it turns on it shows the number 88 and shuts right off i cant do anything and for it to damage in a year and a couple of months is not fair

    *BUYER BEWARE* I bought this ac in May 2022 didn't start using it until late june 2022. Last night i tried to turn it on and it just blinked and beeped on and off while flashing ‘88’. Overall this ac got about 3 months of use before malfunctioning, $300+ down the drain. Wouldn’t recommend this ac to anyone

    Ac turns on whenever it feels like. Came home one night and the ac turned on by itself since morning. Ran up my bill. So now I check throughout the day to make sure it stays off. Smh

    Rotted coils and leaks water DO NOT BUY

    We had this unit for almost a year and It started to spit out water in the vents and a made a huge mess. My husband checked it out and It turns out the bottom coils are rotted. It held so much water we had to tilt it to drain the water out. Save yourself the money and DO NOT BUY!!!

    GE Air Conditioner

    I purchased this AC unit in May 2022. In August 2022, it stopped working properly. It does not cool the room and it started building a lot of ice behind the vent. I have followed the instructions in the manual many tines and it continues to do the same thing. There is nothing else showing or that's listed in the manual that states why it's ot working properly or that shows me a different way of fixing the problem. I have given uo and decided to contact Best Buy and GE.

    Worst A/C unit/ WORST RETURN POLICY

    Product is trash. Dosent get cold enough and the motor isnt strong enough to throw the air any sort of distance. To make it worse i bought both of my units from Best Buy which i found out have a 15 day return policy Are you joking?? I would have never made my purchase there had i know now im stuck with 2 units that suck and one is failing already. I will never buy anything from best buy again.

    NOT COOL AT ALL!!

    Purchased this unit because of the reviews. All I can say is those people must love to sweat in their sleep! We have central air but want it cold while we sleep. We set our home thermostat to 70, closed the bedroom door and cut the unit on 64 cool. Woke up to sweaty sheets and wall thermometer saying it was 74 in that bedroom. Bedroom in not big. Open the bedroom door and the rest of the house was so much cooler. My old frigidaire still got colder than this thing and it was 12 yrs old.
