Fair purchase

The smart capability has always been an issue and can’t seem to get it to work. Says to contact manufacture. The filter constantly needs to be cleaned. Small ac but is okay to cool off the area.

Junk

Had only a bit over one year (only using the summer months) and all the lights keep flashing and it continues to beep. Please do yourself a favor and get another brand. We have had much better luck with the ones we put in our kids rooms (non-GE).

Loud and warm

I was looking for an AC that would make less noise than my previous AC… this didn’t do that, whatsoever. In just a small bedroom filled the room with more noise than cold air.

WiFi is worse than useless. Buy the Frigidaire.

Shady as all heck.

Smart features do not work

This A/C is decent at cooling the room but half of the features I paid extra for do not actually work. I have tried to contact GE but I have received no help

Dissapointed

It gets to the point where its starting to get cold but never gets to a point where i can sleep comfortably. I keep the filter clean but somehow the filter light always turns on.

We truly hate to hear the unit is not really cooling your room and the filter light is coming on often; we know these sorts of issues would cause concern, and would like to assist. This unit has 8,000 BTUs of cooling power, and is best used in rooms from 250 to 350 square feet. If your room fits that size, you might want to check that the airflow to the unit is not restricted by curtains, furniture or any other obstructions. If your filter light turns on frequently, you may want to ensure that the filter is being cleaned at least every 30 days. If needed, detailed information on care and cleaning for the filter is available on page 7 of the manual. Keeping the filter clean is important for cooling as well, so this may help with your concern. The manual also has additional troubleshooting steps on page 13, and information on your limited warranty on page 17 if you think you may need to take advantage of that. Your feedback on the cooling issue as well as the filter light will certainly also be sent to our Air Conditioner Design team for future review and consideration; we appreciate your insight, as we always want to know of any potential issues. Poor Air Conditioner
