The new high efficiency compressor we use may run faster and longer than your old refrigerator and you may hear a high-pitched hum or pulsating sound while it is operating. This is normal. If your refrigerator is cooling and freezing properly, all is well. -Vikki@GEAppliances
Nice refrigerator but water filters are expensive

My problem with it is the water filter. Once it is ready to change it stops working. No water or ice. There is no aftermarket so very expensive. Has a rfid code in label to ensure you only use GE. Wouldn't buy again for this reason.

I bought this after the water and ice dispenser on my old fridge went out. Everything from purchase, delivery, installation, and haul away was super easy and the delivery service was super professional.
