We had an electric smooth top and are happy to be back cooking with gas again. The only odd concept on this stove is the bottom broiler drawer. We have not used it yet and the functionality of it is questionable. Overall though this is a very good stove that appears to function well.

When my precious range died I jumped on the opportunity to get one with a griddle and it is a life changer.heats well and evenly, oven preheats quickly, the even cooktop makes moving pots and pans around so much easier. I am lovin this oven

Griddle issues

Those issues are basically, the coating has started to peel off in some areas for some reason. I've never used anything that would scratch or damage it so I'm at a loss. I specifically bought it for the 5th burner griddle options so it is a touch of a bummer. But it performs well, cooks evenly, and has been great otherwise.

Outside oven gets to hot

Use the over the first day and the left side got extremely hot. Moved my fridge farther away from the stove. Had a GE tech come out and said after using the oven a few times it might compress the seal and hold heat a little better but other than that I would have to change it in for another stove or get use to extremely hot side of stove. Not to happy for the price.

There is an article on our website titled "GAS RANGES - SURFACE SEEMS TOO HOT" that may help with the issue. You may also want to check and make sure that the unit has proper air clearances and has been installed properly. The air clearances for this unit can be found in the unit's Quick Specs. The location of the broiler, which I doubt I'll use very often, is a bit weird and might put people off. That minor nitpick aside, I would recommend this to anyone not looking to spend a grand to bake their food.

Wrong stove was delivered, we had to go back and pick out a different stove. They ordered it and got it in before chirstmas. We are happy with the service . But it was higher then the 1st stove but I like it better.
