Customers are saying

Customers love the convection oven and ease of use of this 5.3 Cu. Ft. Self-Cleaning Freestanding Electric Convection Range. Many appreciate the variety of burner sizes and the overall performance. However, some caution that the glass top requires careful handling to avoid scratches.

I am wishing that I didn’t get a ceramic cooktop. It is hard to keep clean and a few small scratches even though I use proper, good cookware. Otherwise, no complaints.

It roasts and bakes fine, but the glass cooktop is awful! I have had 2 other glass cooktops before and they were easy to clean. This one seems impossible no matter what I use or how much time I take. I think it is because of the texture of the top. I don’t recommend it.

Just a few months after the warranty 2 stoves out of 4 were already broken. Now I am stuck with a useless one in the kitchen. Thanks GE!

    Extremely smelly range

If you like to smell chemical fumes for several month then this (or any other GE electric range) is for you. Let me explain. In recent years GE and few other electric range manufactures in USA switched to new high temperature electric wires, AWM Style 3321. Insulation of these wires are made from Cross-linked polyethylene, this material is also called XLPE. In USA wire manufactures unfortunately now use a process called PEX-B which is accelerated "hot" cross-linking and requires the use of harsh chemicals. It takes very long time for these chemicals to degas. GE considers such smell normal. We don't and had no choice but to return this range. Instead we purchased Samsung range. In Europe and Asia wire manufactures use PEX-C insulation which is "cold" cross-linking process and as such it is the cleanest, most environmentally friendly method, since it does not involve other chemicals and uses only high-energy electrons to split the carbon-hydrogen bonds and facilitate cross-linking. Such wires have CL1503 XLPE markings and do not smell at all. Hope this would help someone.

    WORST STOVE EVER!!

One of THE WORST STOVES I have ever purchased. It’s been nothing but problems since day 1. Still can’t cook a pizza and have crispy crust! Baked banana bread this weekend and the top is baked but the bottom and sides looks like it’s still raw. Unless we bake on convection - the results are AWEFUL. Will never buy a GE stove again.
