It was replaced. had 2 service calls already. can not get a good cooking temperature. have to watch and adjust the burners constantly to avoid over cooking or burning your food. oven does not perform well either. tried convection cooking my sausage, checked it after 30 minutes, still raw! last service was told "It's working properly"

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this oven for only one week, so I'll in all likelihood come back later and update this review if I can. Thus far, I have used the cooktop as well as the oven itself. It's a pretty straight-forward oven. There's nothing terribly fancy about it - the settings are all pretty default and obviously it does have convection, which appears to function nicely. It bakes very well at a consistent temp and evenly with maybe some very tiny hot spots - nothing that should cause you much issue. It's sleek and attractive and the menu is nice. The timer alarms are modernized - more musical and easier to listen to on appliances of old, but they are a bit quiet. If you have a big house, don't stray too far from your dinner or you may over bake. Now, here's the kicker. Despite this appliance being all-around reasonably priced for its quality and a good performer to boot, we just cannot for the life of us get through the burn-in process. This is the process - which is mentioned in the manual and you'll find is considered normal these days - during which you're supposed to run the oven at a high temperature to relieve it of a very powerful chemical (some describe it as kind of like burning oil) odor. The manual says under an hour should do the trick. I've had this thing for a week and the smell hasn't subsided. It has permeated some items baked in the oven, too, which is really a shame. I hope the smell reduces soon, or we'll have to call Best Buy. Fortunately we purchased the warranty, but others may not be so lucky.
