Awaiting confirmation the unit will be picked up for a return on Monday 7/5. Please double check the return being picked up on Monday. The confirmation email was need sent after speaking to someone on the phone.

I bought this on May 18 2021 thinking it would be good for a few years. After not even 2 months it broke. It flashes all the numbers, beeps, and does it again. Turns out its a manufacturers issue with the computer. Called GE, and after a few days they finally get back to me and tell me it's considered a Return to Vendor unit and they don't service them. The best buy return policy is 14 days, which is a little ridiculous for a major appliance. But the bigger issue here is the GE customer service. After about 4 hours on the phone, They offer to have me do a rebate exchange where they would give me up to what I paid back, after I bought a new unit and sent in that receipt. Well, I do not have the money to just buy a new unit. So after a few more hours on the phone they finally agree to send a new unit, but not until after I send the receipt and they "review" it. So on the hottest days of the year, I am without an AC and will need to wait on a replacement.

Over priced - loud

It started making loud, rattling noises in the middle of the night. I read a review that suggested removing the water plug at the back of the unit. Did this but still no luck. It is VERY loud, water is not draining properly and it rattles if left on for more than 2 hours at a time which makes it impossible to sleep through the night. I tried to return it to best buy but they only allow 14 days to return EVEN with the covid circumstances. I will never buy from best buy again and this unit was a complete waste of $500.

Bought 2 units, NEITHER WORKED!!

( Plug is reset with a green light.) Dead right out of the box. Best buy didn't have any available in store so I bought another online. I waited till the second unit arrived to return the first one because I didn't want to have a big empty hole in my living room wall. Before I went ahead and installed the second unit, I plugged in the power and to my delight the display lit up and I even heard the compressor starting up. I installed it, plugged it in and set it to 68°F. It never blew out any air at all. My guess is the fan didn't work on this unit. I called GE to file a warranty claim , I spoke to john and he suggested I either return it to the retailer or they can send someone out to try and repair it. I asked will I be charged to have someone come out? He said well it depends if the issue is covered by the warranty, I asked is the fan covered by the warranty and he said hes not sure. LOL COME ON GE!!! This is infuriating. This is a horrible product accompanied with horrible customer service. I'm returning this unit, I don't want to deal with GE's garbage anymore.

Love the Smart app!

The unit began leaking water inside and it stopped cooling. My bigger concern is that I purchased it from Best Buy. If this had been purchased from Menards I would have been able to return, but not Best Buy. You have to go thru the manufacturer. I am working with them now to resolve my issue. I will purchase another unit, just not sure it will be from this company.

Sometimes it works well, other times, it runs with no air coming out, At random times it will turn itself off and at other times it starts making a lot on noise similar to that of a lawnmower. It is going back as soon as I can get someone to help me get it out of my window. If I shut my bedroom door, once in a while it will run well throughout the night.

I just wish GE made a Wi-Fi air conditioner in the 6000 BTU size I already own an 8000, 12000 and 14000 BTU units.

Bad delivery person.

He then took it back to the truck and back to the store. I eventually canceled the order, go to the driver.
