I purchased this window unit to replace my old one which finally gave up. I chose it because it is Wi-Fi enabled and energy efficient and large enough to cool the entire second level of my cape cod style house. It was a great choice as one I installed it, I found it to be very quiet and much better at keeping my master BR cool. I love that I can program it and also turn it on and off remotely via my phone app. This was useful when I was out of town and didn’t want to leave it running for days when no one was home. I was able to turn it on to the whole upstairs before heading home and happily came home to a cool house. I highly recommend. I also like the extra insulated panels for the side of the windows which help to keep both light, noise and heat out. I don’t think I would have been able to survive this summer heat without it.

Its a little noisy, the first one we had the fan blew apart so we returned it for another. It cools are very large bedroom, bathroom & closet but id prefer it colder.

I live in TX and have central air but the wife likes it like Mr. Freeze at night. I am using this in a bedroom that’s 20x15 and it does a good job keeping the room at 65 at night. From what I can tell through my parka, it’s good and cold. I think it would do a good job even without central running too. I think I would consider this to what we used to call 8000 btu a decade ago. Seems the ratings have all taken a jump to the left. I don’t find this too noisy and if you utilize the eco settings, it does not seem to impact the effectiveness and just turns the fan off when the compressor is not running. If you use high fan, it is a bit noisy but not intrusive while trying to sleep. I love the internet connection and ability to set schedules. My prior GE, this unit replaces one that died within a year, had connectivity issues and was unreliable. This one works flawlessly. Runs when programmed. Works without error through my phone. Nice!! The SmartHQ app, allows for monitoring of energy use daily. I find this helpful to understand how much and when most power is used. Just interesting to see. I also like the filter monitor feature so you know when to clean the filter, and it’s much sooner than you would think. Overall, this unit is priced competitively, works efficiently, operates quietly, and has good connectivity that works constantly. As long as this one works for a couple years, I will be happy.

We have a fairly large multi-room space that needed cooling. This unit does the job without needing a 230v plug. Easy setup and installation. Comes with all the required isolation foam and mounting hardware. Android app lets us set a time schedule or change settings when we're not home. Easily saturates a 15 amp line if you have too many other appliances on the same fuse (we had 2 PCs, TV, etc, and it kept tripping). Best to run it on a dedicated fuse.

Excellent air conditioner here. Best I have ever owned. I bought 3 13000 btu air conditioners the past year and this one is the only one that will completely cool down the room, it cools almost the whole first floor and isn’t running non stop. Excellent quality and price for the unit.

I bought this air conditioner. I love it that I can operate with remote, with Amazon Alexa or via app on my phone. It works well but the only thing I don’t like is that it is a little loud. You can’t beat the price! Overall.., very happy with the purchase

Great product. Easy to set up. Can control from a smart phone using GE app. Comes with all the needed installation parts to seal the window. Had an issue with one of the flaps on the side tearing when I installed it. Other than that, I am very pleased.

This air conditioner is easy to set up. It connects to your WiFi and even works with Alexa! The air filter is easily accessible and easy to clean too! My only complaint is that the app crashes about every other time I use it. Otherwise, it is perfect!

We purchased a 12,000BTU and a 14,000 BTU in May 2022. Our 12,000BTU completely stopped working (wouldn’t even turn on) after 9 months. We contacted GE and they sent me a mail in rebate. We had to purchase another one out of pocket, mail in our receipt and certificate, then wait 6-8 weeks to get reimbursed (still waiting as of now). The new 12,000 BTU we purchased works, but it is super loud and sounds like it may go out any minute. Our 14,000BTU hasn’t given us any problems so far..

The GE smart window air conditioner was a great buy price wise reliability wise it produced tons of cold air way better than my previous Air conditioner at just 400 and some dollars. It was truly the Best Buy

Easy install, cools my 700 sqft space with high ceilings really well, however the unit is loud. The compressor sound comes right through the front of the device as there isn’t much insulation on the unit. Overall happy, just wish it was quieter :/

I didn’t use this for more than a week. I wish i could! It cooled the place down so quickly… Problem is, my house is old. The outlets by the windows couldn’t handle the power, so i gave it to my dad who said he would sell it.. but you know how dads are. Now it’s just taking up space in his shed…. So much potential! I’m just lazy and took the L. $400 lost, but ya live an ya learn. I had to get two ACs with 5,000 BTU. I didn’t return it because i think it was past the return window.. and again.. that thing was heavy so i was just too lazy to return it!

Easy install, keeps the space, a little higher sq ft than recommended, very cold. Tried doing the wifi app but too buggy . just turn it on and enjoy. Could be made a bit more sturdy instead of the weak plastic and Styrofoam airbox

Great buy. Running for over a month and no issues to report. Bought it on sale before July 4th, cheaper the holiday sale. Remote is pointless as I control it via Alexa and app on cell. It also reminds me to clean filter. Easy to install and operate.

Air conditioner does a great job of cooling 12,000 + Square Feet. Easy setup with good installation instructions. Simple controls to set temperature and ensure economical use of air conditioner.

This unit was easy to install. I have never installed one before and it went smooth. The unit does cool the area good. Only problem is that it trips the breaker occasionally when in Eco mode and it tries to turn on.

This works great in my daughters larger size 3rd floor apartment, there was concern it might not do the job because of the large area...but it sure does!. It was easy to install and set up. Highly recommended for this intense summer heat.

Bought this unit on an exchange. Very pleased with how fast it was to cool off our frontroom and kitchen. This unit works very well covering 336 sq.ft. couldn't be happier love the different modes and it's wifi capability. I would highly recommend this ac unit and the price is reasonable. Very easy to install. Comes with remote and mounting hardware also. Thanks Best Buy

Cools my living room reasonably well without putting it on high and like the added Wi-Fi so you control the air conditioner with your phone or tablet. Recommend using the big bracket for air conditioners not the small one. Just wish the price was lower and that it wouldn't go on eco mode on its own. GE air conditioner is recommended if you want to keep cool this summer.
