The compresser kicks off more like 66-67 on cool mode with high fan. The room sits at 72F° on a 80F° day. I like cool when I sleep and this AC cant do that Also do not but this AC for its smart features. sometimes they work sometimes they don't. Nothing worse then after a hot 12 hour day at work. not being able to turn on your AC before you return home. look at the reviews for the "Comfort - GE Appliances" app before you even consider this.

This AC does not cool the room and you have to reset it to its temperature every time. It only goes down to 64 temperature wise. Stick to a brand you know! Oh and purchase Best Buy warranty or geek squad membership. If not you will have to follow up with GE warranty and they will only give you the current value price back and you can ONLY BUY THE SAME BRAND once you follow up. Best Buy will do nothing for you after 30 days if you do not have their membership

This is the 3rd one because of various problems from weird noise to just won't turn on. And because of best buy whopping 15 day return policy on day 20 I had to go through manufacturer and wait almost a month for a new one. I love in New York summer is only 2 months long. Lol

The unit has a broken bracket inside which allowed the blade to rub against it making it unusable. I wouldn't recommend this unit as it was clearly poorly made. I will say I gave it 2 stars for the Best Buy's customer service. They were amazing and took the unit right back for a full refund. I was extremely pleased with the process.
