Cools largely fine, the display going to sleep is nice if it's in a bedroom. But there is a rattle from the get-go. Unlike some other units I've owned (favorite has been Friedrich). Sounds like a stick is stuck somewhere inside, but it's brand new, fresh out of the box. I don't think anything is *wrong* with it, but suspect the rattling is caused by material design choices. The rattling is not quite a white noise, but it's also not wildly sporadic, so it's...tolerable. I am probably tossing it for a new one from a different brand when I can afford to do so. Save your money.

My partner, unfortunately, bought this without much research. It is definitely very noisy. I haven’t had a window unit in a while and she said she remembered them being this loud but this is definitely a bit louder than most. After reading reviews I’m very concerned. Aside from the noise it had been cooling just fine, now all of a sudden on one of the warmest days since I’ve had it (nothing crazy 85 degrees or so) it’s working, but blowing less cool air and the fan seems weaker. I had it on a temp and setting that keeps my space almost cold to me normally, but I came in my apt having had it running all day and it was hot! It makes loud popping and rattling noises that are not manifesting in any cooler air. The app is a joke and the temperature read is never correct. It’s essentially an over glorified Roku remote turning the ac on and off from afar. I’ve been running the unit a lot but that’s what it’s made for?? I’ve only had it 3 or 4 weeks and already it’s quality is lessened? I’m very concerned because I’d return this in a heart beat, but Best but mentioned something about HE not taking returns for air conditioners and the only option being warranty. I never imagined in less than a month I’d have to enact that. Right now it’s several degrees warmer than the target temp I have set. I have it in cool and not “eco” the mode that lets it auto turn on and off to maintain the temp and it just cut off. It’s not the temp I want not even close and I have it set on a setting that isn’t supposed to shut off—yet here we are. It really just does whatever it wants. I hope GE and Best Buy are reading this. Fail. They should stop selling this product.

Thought of the curbside pickup service was so simple whichI like the mostly....until i realized that my A/C window is an excellent product that comes with the homesmart program. wow. Best Buy offers the best quality!

Every word GE said about their Air Conditioner is true, it works extremely well have to take it off many times because it gets the apartment to cold. Love it have no regrets in buying it.

Had it for about three years and it just froze over. Worked great the first year and then just slowly worked worse and worse. After the first year the buttons got hard to push. We also have another GE air conditioner and that one seems to be about the same. Had that one for two years and going to guess will have to be replaced next year. The LG we have had kept the room Ice cold consistently for about 4 or five years we’ve had it. I won’t be buying another GE air conditioner.
