Two things Real loud Vents even when you move it to left side still throwing air to the right I will not recommend it

This is the best cooling window ac I have ever bought. This has kept my room very cool even with the high heat we have been getting. I couldn't be any happier about this ac. Anyone who has been looking for an a/c to cool a hard-to-cool area give this model a try.

Too much technology involved for the Wi-Fi usage. Didn’t know what it all entailed, downloading apps etc…

For 12,000 BTU it's pretty lightweight which is great since I'm a bit older and the in/out each season is done by me alone. It's quiet too and the remote control is a nice feature.

Cools very well but there was a weird smell for about a week

This 12,000 btu ge unit doesn’t cool as well as my 10,000 btu LG. In addition to being a typically loud ac, this also has a grinding noise like it’s got rocks in it. Low quality cheap plastic on front housing, directional baffle broken. No indication that when the sliding side panels are attached, you need a minimum of 24” wide window for install. Returned.

Keeps the house cool could be better but I’m happy

Cools better and more efficiently than the Frigidaire it replaced. I wish the thermostat was positioned so it would read inside temperature rather than outside temperature. The eco function is a money-saver. I hope it lasts.

Got this a.c and it did not even last 2 years. As others have stated all the lights go on and then the machine shuts down. I got in touch with G.E and here is what they said: GEA Chat Agent: That sequence is letting us know that the A/C is shorting out, I would definitely recommend replacement. I'm so sorry that it went out on you so early. I know how frustrating that is, since it is only two years of usage. Frustrating? He also gave me an email for GE's consumer relations. I emailed and never heard anything back. I had purchased a fridge from frigidaire which stopped working after a little over a year. They sent a technician 3 different times to fix the problem, BUt they stood behind their product. GE could learn something from them. GE also sent me a survey to do. I mentioned all the problems and heard nothing from them either. Will not buy or recommend GE again. Shame. Used to be a standup company.
