GE- PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER W/ REMOTE

Weather conditions have warranted the use of my conditioner only once since it was purchased. On that occasion it cooled the first floor of my home quickly and comfortably.

Workhorse saved me from Seattle Heat Dome

I didn't know at that time what life-saver it was going to be. During the three day heatwave here, it ran pretty much non-stop, day and night, pumping out the cool. I won't say it won the battle against 108F (my apartment is bigger than the specs allowed for), but it kept us here and not too terribly sweaty, rather than having to go find a hotel like some other residents of this building. Rock solid respect for this item.

It cools quickly and keeps my house consistently cool. The downside: it is very loud (compared to my old through-the-wall a/c) and it takes up a LOT of floor space. So, as long as size and sound aren't an issue for you, this is a great a/c unit!
