I live in Washington state, it’s been in the 90’s and this AC has worked great, I have only been using the low cool setting and it has kept my condo in the living room very cool, next year I’m getting one for the bedroom but probably a lower BTU.

This portable air conditioning saved me from sleepless nights! I mean Wow ! The performance is excellent because it’s quiet and so easy to install! I would recommend this to anyone looking for quality and performance and price was very reasonable!

It cools off the house very well and fast. Very easy to set up but a little on the loud side when on high.I little the dry mode also.

Using for a garage ac , does a good job of maintaining a steady cold air flow and is not overly loud for a garage. When the temperature is 100 outside it will drop the temperature in the garage @15 degrees. This is an uninsulated garage in central texas. This is the non wifi unit for the cost wifi would be nice as i used it on a previous smaller unit and really appreciated being able to remote turn on or off so it doesn’t run nonstop.

Perfect size for my room. It cools the room in a matter of minutes and keeps it cool in the summer heat. If you're not used to units like this, the noise may bother you, but it's worth it. I would recommend it to anyone with a larger living space.

This AC unit is really great. It cools my 500sq. ft. master suite in minutes. It cools so well, in fact, that I leave the bedroom door open so it can cool adjacent rooms, too. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be the noise. This is a very noisy unit. It turns itself off an on throughout the night, and when it turns on, I wake up. If you're a heavy sleeper I'm sure this won't bother you. I recently put a noise maker in my room so the constant cycling doesn't bother me as much. All in all this is a great AC unit. Well built, cold, excellent remote, and simple enough for my kiddo to work.

It worked fine to cool a 14’ x 11’ bedroom. Living in Central Florida it produces about FIVE GALLONS OF RUNOFF which I have to empty 2x daily from out of a large 5 gallon plastic bucket anytime the Humidity is over 40%. Also, you have to remove the thin and flimsy panel that they refer to as a filter. It is messy and time consuming to use a toothbrush to clean the exposed strips of dirty filter. And it is VERY LOUD when the fan is set at LOW, it’s so loud, you cannot have a normal conversation without raising your voice. After the first few months, nearly every time whenever the compressor would cycle on and off, it makes a jarring KER-PLUNK and the machine rattles. It will wake up even the soundest of sleepers.

Very impressive! Love the ease, small footprint, the ice cold air and the auto swing really helps move the air around. It’s also on the quiet side on high. This model also has the auto evaporate feature. Love this portable, powerful ac!

Need I say more for such a good price and excellent working machine! Go to Best Buy and get yourself one now if you live in a house or a room or maybe even a camper! During the summer and it’s never cool enough and it’s burning up this inside. AC machine will keep you freezing cold! Need I say more for the price you can’t beat the performance of this machine!!

Con: the drain port is next to the electric cord which are both located behind the unit. Water next to electric is concerning. The unit is very heavy and when it is hooked up and set in its place, it is very difficult to get to the back of the machine. That drain port is also at the very bottom of the unit making it troublesome for people with limited bending mobility or knee issues to reach. Plus in order to drain the water you have to have something to drain it into which requires the unit to be lifted up enough from the floor in order to get a bowl or basin underneath the spout. Again the unit is very heavy. It has wheels but they are very small and do not roll well on carpeted floors. It does not have a fan to pull outside air inside unfortunately. Cooling temperature can only be set for a low of 64 degrees. I like my room to be 60. Pros: It was a great investment and I am glad I have it. Nothing is perfect but at least I don’t have to suffer in 80 degree temperatures next summer.

Cools well. Not too noisy. Larger size is good for larger spaces. Very satisfied with this purchase.

This thing works amazing. At first i thought it was a waste but than i looked around the house and started to notice hot air being forced from a stove vent and than the wall heater. Its an old apartment and idk how that works but heat was coming in through those vents because it was way too hot. So i covered those up and sealed any other leaks i found and added weather stripping to the doors. Now it keeps my 1 bedroom apt nice and cool at LOW. I add fan for cool air to circulate in the bedroom and its all good.

It keeps my bedroom cool and helps keep the overall house cool too. Great that it has so many different functions too! Only drawback is sometimes the hose is a little hard to set up but find a permanent spot for it and its great!

It’s an awesome unit. First time I’ve owned a stand AC unit vs a wall unit and this one just took the 5 stars. Easy to use, fast cooling, very quiet and easy to install the hose on wall. I would buy this again. It also doesn’t take a lot of room and it has wheels so there is no lifting. I love it

Great airconditioner for my room. Cools it down pretty quickley and the noise is a it lound but doesnt bother me while sleeping but that could be me.

Does the job. easy to set up, runs quietly enough for a portable unit, easy to drain. Only negative is that the exhaust hose is fine if it can be located very close to a window but a bit short if having to cover a few feet away.

Excellent portable AC! My home air went out and it was in the heat of the Florida summer. Of course, I wouldn’t be able to have it repaired quickly. I purchased this with the intent to just keep my bedroom cool for me and my two dogs. It did that and then leaked into the living room. It was amazing. I absolutely recommend this purchase. Buy it now so you’ll have it in a pinch. Don’t wait till you need it and can’t find one.

This is my third portable air conditioner. The other two are still working and not giving me any trouble. The GE I'm reviewing is the best portable that I have seen so far. In general, you will never get as much cooling power with a portable because it just isn't designed the same way. As portables go, this unit is doing a great job for the task it was designed for. It cools a room about 500 sq ft and, although it won't bring the room down to 70 when the outside temperature is 90, it creates a noticeably more comfortable air temp. The other units I own are smaller (from different brands) that I use for 100 sq ft rooms and they don't do nearly as well even though they say they are designed for 200+ sq ft rooms. I like the way the exhaust pipe is coming out of the unit perpendicular to the floor. This configuration makes it much easier to vent through a window or door. It is not quiet but no worse than my other two units. Overall, if you take into account that a portable air con cannot be expected to match a wall unit, this unit is an excellent performer.

I was VERY skeptical... It was 107 degrees in the shade. I was delirious. I bought this... within 30 minutes my home was as cool as the other side of the pillow! (rip SS) Purchase one size larger than you think you'll need, its worth it! I also rigged the exhaust tube with a metal corrugated sleeve (aka dryer vent hose) over it to further insulate the hose because it gets hot... We have run. this until NON STOP for 15 days and it works great! Its not as loud as I thought it would be but is far from silent. Reminds me of the 70's in the summer next to the swamp cooler, not horrible sound. LOVE the vents features and the cooling modes. GE unit is WAY better than others I have seen. Definitely worth it. This weekend its supposed to be hotter. and I'm good to go! It is heavy but we bring it upstairs at night and it cools 3 rooms with the doors open for bedtime.
