My new Ac
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic unit. Very Pleased. Cools down my front room and even reaches down hallway and cools kitchen. I can’t believe how far it reached as well as efficiency. It replaced a unit I had for 14 years. Very quiet. Couldn’t be happier. The financing made payments affordable.

Posted .Hi there, and thanks for letting us know about your experience with this air conditioner! While we’re glad it’s providing cold air for you, we regret that you have an issue with the amount of condensation blowing out of the vent. We know that may be worrying, and would like to assist. It is normal for water to collect on the evaporator coils in the front of the air conditioner, then drip into a pan to evaporate. On days with higher humidity, it is possible water may drip off the unit outside (if properly installed, the model should be tilted to allow any extra water to drip from the back, outside the house). If too much water is going inside the room, it may be an issue with the base pan being clogged or the unit not being tilted correctly. If you think the latter may be the case, we do have Installation Instructions on page 8 of the manual, which can be viewed on our GE website by searching for your model number. Another possibility is that the air filter might need to be cleaned (the manual also has cleaning instructions, starting on page 7). We hope this helps, but if you are unable to resolve this concern through troubleshooting, our Service Department is available at 1-800-432-2737 and would be glad to assist. We are glad to help with any other concerns or questions. All the best! -Sarah@GEA

Great for cooling big spaces
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Window unit works great, if you have a portable generator on the smaller side (6500 Watts), this may put a strain onto it. Make sure you have a 12awg extension cord due to the pull. 14awg and lower will not be good for this one.

Waste of money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.$500 absolutely down the drain. Save yourself the pain and absolutely do not get this unit. We had this unit for like a week and it’s just not working we can hear it blowing out air but the air is not cool at all and we are miserable in this heat. We have been trying everything and it’s just not working. We lost power when someone hit our power lines and it won’t work now.

Posted .Hello there,
We're so sorry to hear that your air conditioner is not working and definitely understand your frustration. If the window, built-in, or portable air conditioner has stopped working or will not come on:
Verify the outlet you have the air conditioner plugged into is working properly. Also, If the plug is not tight in the outlet, it may not make a good connection. If the outlet is not working or the plug is loose in the outlet, we recommend having an electrician check the outlet.
Make sure the breaker in the circuit break box has not tripped.
On occasion a power surge can cause the circuit breaker to open and prevent the unit from operating.
The air conditioner should be on a dedicated circuit. If there are other products on the same circuit, they could cause the breaker to trip.
The plug has a GFI (GFCI) with a Reset button. Unplug the unit from the wall, press the Reset button on the power plug, and plug back in. We hope these tips help. Stay in touch! Mike@GEA

Posted .Hello- We are sorry to hear you are having this issue. We are happy to help! If there is ice on the coils, then the outdoor temperature may be below 70 degrees. The best way to prevent ice on the coils is to not run the unit if the outdoor temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature is close to 70 or you are unsure of the temperature, you can turn the thermostat to a warmer setting and set the fan switch to the highest position. Note: The quickest way to defrost the coils is to turn the unit off and allow the air conditioner to defrost in room temperature air. If you still have issues, please reach out to us with your model and serial number, address, email address and phone number on Social Media in a private message. Thank you! Joyce@GEA

Better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a big fan of air conditioning. This a/c performs better than i expected. My home is under 1000 sq ft, The unit does a great job (without making too much noise) keeping my place comfortable. The temperature control works perfectly.

Posted .Hello. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us about your experience with this model! While we're very glad the air conditioner is working well for you, we hate to hear you are unhappy with the sound level. We know this may be an inconvenience. We strive to create as quiet an experience as possible, and this unit is meant to operate at a level of 63 to 67 dBAs, which is a bit above the level of moderate rainfall. We regret that this did not result in a good experience for you, and your feedback will certainly be sent to our Air Conditioner Design team for consideration and review. If you have any other concerns or questions, we are always happy to help. -Sarah@GEA
