Unreliable

This air conditioner was working pretty good for me for 10 days. I unplugged it for 2 days since the temperature outside dropped to where I didn't need it. Now when I plug it back in the LEDs just flash and it beeps. Pretty poor quality if you ask me.

We hate to hear you feel the unit isn't cooling better than your medium air conditioner; we know that must be frustrating, and it's certainly not the positive experience we strive to provide. This 14,000 BTU air conditioner is ideal for cooling rooms from 550 to 700 square feet. If the space it's in doesn't fit that size, that may be causing the unit to not cool as well as you were expecting. You also may want to make sure nothing is blocking airflow to the unit, and the air filter is clean - those factors can affect cooling performance as well. Additional troubleshooting steps are available on page 13 of the manual. DON'T BUY

For makeshift until I can better beginner that I used some of the cardboard box it was in. The insanely cheap plastic bits are far too easy to break and difficult to put in place so plan to have tape on hand for the inevitable snap. 2 of us (physicists) managed to break a price, each. While reading the directions. The insulating styrofoam came pre-cracked so it rattles non-stop. Simply not worth $500 Look elsewhere

Stopped working a year and half later

Not very impressed it’s a pain to connect to the internet as well.

Looked used and box was in shambles

Stopped working 4th of July. Came looking pre-owned/ refurbished. Not worth the money and haven't been able to get any support.

Worked great for a while...

The ac would turn on for 3 seconds then turn off and beep. Apparently its an unfixable, common issue. Giant paper weight now.

Bad 2 month experience with best buy

Spent 4hrs on the phone between GE and bestbuy. Item became a safety issue in less than a month with some apparent electrical issues. Even prior to this purchase I ordered a ac online and was promised 1 delivery date and it was not delivered on time. Walking through the store employees follow you as if you are an inmate and the are guards. I don’t think i will be spending my money with bestbuy anymore.

Beware of premature board failure

I just finished paying this unit off and it is past the year warranty i am out almost 600 dollars and no ac for me and my children. I do not recommend this unit or any other GE smart ac as this is a common issue apparently.

3 months in and it stopped work

Found several articles that stated there is a design flaw that prevents condensation from entering the circuit board and GE tech can confirm that there's no fix.
