Absolute garbage didn't even last a full 2 years. The popcorn button has been giving out the last year and now the fan just crapped the bed. Don't waste your money.

not a good store to purchase from. i am still waiting for my microwave purchased in march. it is now june.

What could be said with the best brand of appliances. Easy to use but hard to keep clean. Otherwise, it is great.

We had this same unit for 20yrs and liked it so much we ordered the new one when ours died without seeing it in person. Disappointment to the max when we received and put into use. Poorly designed key pad. Really difficult to see and the options are smaller. Need to be backlit badly. Will have to come up with motion light for over unit to make less irritating to use. Door is extremely light and if I don’t soon get used to it the entire unit may end up in dining room. I was so used to that solid door and sound of quality as it closed. Size quoted in specifications is not actual for cooking area. Smaller than stated. Bottom line...don’t buy unless you hands on try. Not senior citizen approved.

I replaced a previous GE microwave with this upgraded model. I have never used the convection oven features yet, but I had planned to someday. The microwave itself works really great, BUT THE DOOR HANDLE KEEPS BREAKING! I have had the whole door replaced twice and now the handle has broken AGAIN!. I contacted GE who told me the best that they could do is give me a rebate for a new microwave or money off to replace this one for a new replacement. I told them my current microwave works fine and you know it is CLEARLY a GE defect with these door handles as the door is now on backorder and they can read the MANY reviews. I have had the same door handle issue with my refrigerator freezer door and stove. Since I don't want to continue spending more money on the same issue that is not being resolved, I will choose not to purchase GE products again. This is unfortunate because all 4 of my kitchen appliances and dryer are GE Profile.

I had a ge profile microwave over counter. Lasted 14 years. Very good. So the replacement stainless version just came. It is inferior. The only stainless are the two shrouds pieces. The microwave itself is a plastic silver material. My old one had a sturdy stainless door handle. This one is silver plastic and flimsy. The durability of my first profile microwave was 14 years. I’ll be this new replacement version will go 5. They really cut corners

The only reviews that really matter are the long term ones. Of course things are nice at first and everyone gives 4 stars+. Im guilty of that too. The truth is... So after about a year of use... Cons: 1. GEs major appliances have 2-3 yrs warranty. Unfortunately microwaves, even convection ones only have 1 year. 2. The front panel has no light, so things like popping corn at night is a hassle. Wish the buttons were illuminated. 3. It failed twice, once in under a year covered under warranty for a bad sensor. And the second time just past a year, not under warranty. 4. It takes about a month to get service. A few weeks to schedule a day to just look at it, and another few weeks to order the part and actually fix it. Currently the microwave does not power on and I'm hoping it was bad work recently done by GE for the previous repair. I think GE should do full warranty for a year plus pro-rate for maybe 2-3 years. At $700 it is a huge loss for this microwave in about a years time. All in all, I will be staying away from GE microwaves simply because the warranty period is way too short, which usually means they expect failures in a relatively short time.
