Nice Microwave

We had the previous version and the Magnatron went bad. My only issue is the buttons on the door are now harder to press and the interior cooking area has been reduced slightly. The observation window is also smaller. Other than that, it cooks at about 1000 watts.

Options are hard (slow) to get through with the small scrolling output. Really need a list of options on paper until you have them memorized. Otherwise easy to use and plenty of pre-programed buttons. Cut-out template for the top exhaust was too small so had to cut it larger to get it installed.

High tech microwave

The 'Sensor Cooking' is a big plus and works very well. This microwave was purchased as part of a kitchen remodel and in conjunction with the GE Profile slide in range and not installed until 8/21/19 due to contractor's schedule. Both are black stainless steel, very sleek and upscale looking. The interior is large and I am able to use large casserole dishes. The 'Chef Connect' feature that connects the microwave to the range is convenient and a plus. Appears to be well built, looks great and is easy to use.

Very large and boxy, though and looks more like a wide-screen TV than a microwave.. Not great for smaller kitchens. Also, there's no light to see inside while cooking. But style aside, functionally this is great and I'm happy I have it.

Incredibly Disappointed. Last straw for GE

I expected this would be the same model. Both GE Profille. The only thing similar was the price. The new model is cheaper in every way. It’s smaller, weaker, fan is worse, glass is smaller. It feels cheaper in every way. I only bought it because expected a direct replacement, which is was not. The size and mounting points were different. I would have bought a different brand and will never purchase GE again. My GE washer just died at 13 months (1 month out of warranty). Never again GE!

Manufacturing sites do change periodically and it is always possible for the specifications and/or footprint of a product to change as well. The capacity at 2.1 cubic foot, interior dimensions and turntable size has not changed since the product was introduced. If an issue arises with the unit, we're here to help. Slow, stiff controls but the microwave works well.

My only real complaint is that the controls are stiff and slower to respond than I would like. After you click start it feels like the microwave has to think for a second or two before it finally turns on. It is actually probably pretty short but it feels longer than it should be.
