Then they didn’t tell me I needed an install kit to make the microwave fit the built-in space. Had to order it separately it took 2 weeks to get the part. I installed it myself and it was easy to do.

Posted .Yes, it is very important to only use the trim kit designed to be used with your specific microwave model. When replacing a built-in countertop microwave with a newer model, you can only use the existing trim kit for the new model if the product details for both models have the same built-in kit number listed. Please review the article titled “Built-In Countertop Microwave - Microwave Oven Replacement” on the GE Appliances website.

I purchased as a replacement 2 years ago with bezel. Last month, it died,. out of warranty with mfg and BB, its not cheap. All players were sympathetic but wouldn't provide any relief until a BB mgr was moved to give me a 10 percent consideration on the purchase of a replacement in kind. I took the offer because I didn't want to incur total cost of replacing everything to keep a matching oven and microwave set.

This is a replacement for one that came with the house we purchased. The other one worked great for 2 years then stopped. Hopefully this one will work better.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is about the only brand and model that (with the optional trim kit) will fit in the built-in cabinet space that held my prior GE profile microwave. I'm returning it anyway! I don't want to modify the cabinet, but my wife and I loathe this model. The control panel buttons are cramped and seem to have no dead space between them, so it's hard to hit the button you want. On a lesser note, the gray interior isn't well lit and is very dim compared to most microwaves.
