Ge refrigerator

GE new this model had a problem with it's compressor and had issue a service bulletin. They took 6 weeks to schedule a repair. I would not buy another GE product.

No use for a warm fridge

Very Poor Quality for a Very High Price!

Ice maker/water line froze up 3. Frost continually formed around the in door ice maker 3. Excessive amounts of frost on freezer food. No more GE appliances for me. Best Buy was great in helping me exchange this product.

Defective Freezer Door

Original order date was 5/23/21, delivered with defective door on 7/8/21. Replacement order was 7/8/21. Estimated replacement fridge delivery 8/19/21. Not worth the wait.

Poor quality

Nice fit

We'd like bigger vegetable crispers and wish that the water dispenser would work even if the opposite door is open. We had to fit it into a smaller space than newer kitchen, but feel it maximizes storage.

Decent unit but not worth the price.

Even at 40% off when I bought it, it has no outstanding features to warrant the expense, its a basic unit with a "Profile" tag. I would expect better construction of the shelving accessories and fit and finish. Shelves and drawers feel flimsy and cheap and the drawer deviders are useless. The water fill sensing is slow and inaccurate as well as the flow from the fill is slow. It will randomly fill the same cup to different levels. It throws ice shards all over the floor, even if you hold the cup up against the dispenser. The interior lighting is nice and even. The exterior looks good. Fairly quiet operation. Its not a bad unit, just not worthy of a 2600 dollar price tag. FYI platic wrap took days to remove, its under every panel overlap, door edge and accessory and leaves plastic exposed so that it takes tweezers to remove.

Have to loosen the doors to stop sounds (temporarily). 2. Ice maker failed to produce any ice at all. 3. Replacing the filter is unbelievably complicated. Why are there two filters "RPWFE" and "XWFE"? I should be able to enter my model number and get the right filter. This adds so much unnecessary confusion. 4. Appears to be a warm spot in the top-left corner. Orange juice placed in the top-left of the fridge goes bad faster than other fridge areas. Completely unacceptable in 2024. This fridge is worse in every way than our old Samsung fridge.

A buzzing sound heard every 15 minutes or so could be the water valve trying to bring in water to make ice and there is no water available. Check to be sure the water supply for the refrigerator is connected properly and turned on. A buzzing sound heard every 60-90 minutes is the water valve energizing to bring water in to make ice. This is normal. When the refrigerator is initially installed, it may take several hours before the icemaker produces the first batch of ice. The temperature in and around the icemaker must get down to 13°F-15°F before ice is produced. You can identify the correct water filter for your refrigerator by reviewing the online parts breakdown we make available for your model. Searching with your complete model number will help you to locate the information you need. The filter for this model is an RPWFE. If you continue to have concerns, please call Bodewell Service at 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) to schedule a service appointment to have your refrigerator evaluated and repaired as needed.

Great looks & layout, but the compressor is loud.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the looks and the layout, but the compressor runs a lot, and that would be fine with me if it didn't make such a loud hum that travels through the house. I guess someone "could" get used to it over time, but at the price and the technology we have today, GE can do much better! My 15 year old refrigerator was close to silent and this is noticeably louder. Otherwise I loved it, so I had GE come out and look at it and they can do nothing saying this is the way are today due to the low power consumption, lack of insulation to keep them lighter, and new refrigerants they need to use. What a lame excuse for the lack of innovation or simple sound insulation. I'd seriously consider another brand if you have an open house. It will likely be great if you have a small isolated kitchen that buffers the humming.

WORST FRIDGE EVER!!!!

GE sends a tech and tech determines a new fridge should be sent out. New fridge is delivered Aug 2022 (annoying wait, but whatever). It breaks in Jun 2023 and completely stops working. GE sends another tech in Jul 2023 and says it’s the compressor. Orders the parts and says I’ll be back in 3 weeks. Compressor replaced 8 hours ago and it’s already buzzing again. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Loud!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We received this fridge on accident as Best Buy had the wrong model number next to the fridge we actually ordered. We purchased the one that has the kerig system and is now taking another month to receive. My husband was here for delivery and didn’t realize it was not the correct one. Now we are stuck with this one for awhile and it is so loud! You can hear it throughout the house and it’s driving me nuts. I am considering possibly cancelling my other order and going with something else. I hope that we just got a lemon but who knows. I like everything else about this fridge but I can’t handle the noise. It’s going to be an annoying Christmas!

The new refrigerators are more energy efficient and sound differently than older refrigerators. If your refrigerator is not three-fourths full, then we recommend adding gallon jugs of water to take up the empty space as this will cut back the run time. Great looking fridge but pricey!
