Good for 6 months - still broken under warranty

Was replaced once and still drips. 9 months in there’s pooling water in bottom near where the condenser and other components are located. This has started to grow bacteria and smells horrible. Contacted GE, put in touch with Bodewell. Service person takes one picture and leaves with zero follow up. After 3 days I learn they need to contact GE and have not been able to do so. We are left with a broken refrigerator that’s still under warranty. Our whole house smells like bacteria and turning into a health hazard. GE, Bodewell - and the service company that goes through them will not get back to me. Please help.

Bad purchase

Been having problems since i bought it. Fruits and veggies go bad very quickly...like 2 days. The refrigerator doesn't get very cold. It gets cool. Be careful of leftovers. They will not hold over 2 days

Go anywhere but Best Buy for your appliances

I ended up working on it and it closes sometimes but you have to jiggle it. The fridge will do but if you are considering buying it go anywhere but Best Buy. The first two fridges were put on the truck with gouged boxes and when the box came off it was apparent a forklift went through them.

Warehouse Fiasco

I went into sore to look at appliances. Purchased LG dryer first. Ali needed refrigerator and dishwasher. I saw a GE Profile refrigerator that didn’t have and dents or damage to front(picture attached) so I purchased at open box pricing. Consequently with the money saved I purchased the matching dishwasher at full advertised price. Delivery was set up and as you can see from the picture the refrigerator was damaged at the warehouse. I’m confident that the delivery driver Joe and Jadon did NOT damage en route to my home. Now I won’t have my refrigerator at the open box price. I’m disappointed to say the least.

GE Needs to Do Better

Best Buy said it was warranty only thru GE and GE couldn't get to me for 2 weeks. Also - they repair first, you can't demand a replacement. Ordered parts and now waiting 2 more weeks for install. It is a known issue with the coolant line leaking! I like the fridge, but GE needs to fix this problem & get more techs - unacceptable! Oh - and GE did send checks for $225 to cover food loss and purchase of mini fridge? Meanwhile, parts have been delivered to us and we wait for a tech to come on June 7.

Junk Fridge

First one had a large dent in the door. Nothing works on the replacement. Interior lights, water and ice in door. It never shuts off so the temperature is well below normal. Freezer is running -30 f and the fridge is temp is running in the freezing range of 24 degrees. Best Buy only replaces appliances up to 15 days which stinks. GE cares number is a joke. Many calls for nothing. After one service call the repair guy said he is going to order a board but doesn't know if that will fix it. The board is backordered who knows when. Save your $3,000 bucks and buy a different brand!

We can certainly appreciate your frustration and apologize for your inconvenience. While this would have no bearing on the temperature issues you have described, we do have a suggestion on something you can easily try that may remedy the issue with the control panel and interior lighting. Press and hold the Lock and Light pads at the same time for a full three seconds and see if the control panel and interior lights start working. Someone may have inadvertently set the unit in the Sabbath mode as discussed on Page 11 of your Owner's Manual. Our hope is that will resolve at least part of the issue. If you continue having difficulty and are unable to obtain any updates as to when the part will be available, please reach out to us on social media so we can check into your situation further. Terrible experience

We lost food and GE was unapologetic when we contacted them. What a shame. Other negative notes, the edges on the shelves are incredibly sharp and dangerous. The material craftsmanship seems cheap on the inside. The freezer is impossible to open unless you use two hands. The auto fill water dispenser doesn’t work and always errors out. I would avoid this one and buy a different option if I were you.

I would not buy it again

In an open concept living area , the noise is annoying. There are times I can hear the refrigerator running while standing at my front door (note it’s not a small area). I’ve had the refrigerator serviced twice since receiving the refrigerator on 11/2/22. Each time the nice service person tries to resolve the issue and for that moment it may not sound loud. But it doesn’t take long before the compressor is sounding like an industrial refrigerator made for a restaurant. I definitely would not buy this fridge again. I’m not sure if the problem is the GE refrigerator or Best Buy defective products, either way… I’m staying away from both.

It just doesn’t cool properly

I have had two replacement and NONE of the three refrigerators will maintain the correct temperatures. It is beyond amazing that I have now had three different refrigerators and none have worked properly. As I write this, I am trying to schedule a repair on it. I hate this refrigerator.

Strike One!

This was not a delivery damage; the issue was there when the product was unboxed in front of us (and pointed out by the delivery person). Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to use this refrigerator as we decided to purchase a different brand. So with that said, I would still recommend this refrigerator just based on all the other nice features.

Buyer Beware! Returned 2 of them under 60 days

BB Delivered a bad Unit the first time (which could not keep the temperature below 40° on a regular basis), And then said they would deliver a new replacement unit.... Which was missing bottom of doors casing and started melting water from the refrigerator into the freezer. Returning this model for a second time and going to drop GE refrigerators for good. What a cluster what a joke Hope others don't have to go through a nightmare like this, And why is BB selling these lemons?

Three week failure

Very Poor Quality for a Very High Price!

Ice maker/water line froze up 3. Frost continually formed around the in door ice maker 3. Excessive amounts of frost on freezer food. No more GE appliances for me. Best Buy was great in helping me exchange this product.

Not eligible for GE Profile Rebate!

Alas, purchases from Best Buy are not eligible for the rebate. GE does not advertise this on the main rebate page or the "click here to find where to buy, which takes you to Best Buy. You have to read the fine print on the actual rebate form from GE. Best Buy, you should make the buyer and the sales associates aware of this! A bit ticked that I bought 5 appliances from Best Buy only to be told by GE rebate team "It states in the rebate form, Best Buy purchases are not eligible for rebate". Now who reads the actual rebate form before purchase. On a side note, I do like the refrigerator.

I wasted money on food that was thawed out before I realized that the freezer didn't work. It is taking Best Buy two weeks to replace it and I am not happy.

Very Loud Indeed

This model is definitely loud. I have other GE refrigerators, this one measures almost 10 db louder. I can hear it running from my bedroom upstairs. Very disappointed.

Failed compressor and noise after repair

After the compressor failed at 14 months, it was replaced under warranty but it now has a very annoying gurgling noise when it turns on. Four repair technicians have not been able to fix it, and now GE has given up and GE Consumer Relations tells us it's our problem. They only will replace the refrigerator if it doesn't cool, even though the repairmen said this is a very common problem after replacing a compressor. Think long and hard about buying a GE refrigerator. There is a class action lawsuit underway concerning failed compressors and getting a compressor fixed may leave you with an intolerable noise.

BUYER BEWARE

GE new this model had a problem with it's compressor and had issue a service bulletin. They took 6 weeks to schedule a repair. I would not buy another GE product.
