Build quality is questionable

Whisper quiet and does not disturb the dishware so loading the dishwasher is easy. The cleaning job is great. Unfortunately, the same praise cannot be given to the workmanship. One month out of warranty, the chrome accent piece, at the top of the unit began to pull away from the unit. I called the extended warranty people who told me cosmetics are not covered. I called GE and got my issue escalated. Come to find out, this is not a user replaceable part, it is part of the control panel. But, since the unit is functionally okay, nothing they can do. I explained that we paid for the looks as much as for the unit itself and it is a bit tacky to have a piece of trim falling off. I tried to glue it myself but no success. May not be important to most as the unit itself works well, but my wife is furious at this lack of quality and zero support from GE

Nice but needs improvement

Technicians have attempted to repair the dishwasher six times, and it has now been more than six months without a working unit. I do not recommend the Total Member extended warranty—this process has been a waste of time, and my time is valuable. I requested a replacement after multiple failed repairs, yet I am being told I need to wait another 2–3 weeks for yet another appointment. This situation is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

Couldn't be installed because the electric needed to be upgraded to a GFCI outlet. I finally got the work done and tried to schedule the install 3 times and each time the installation date defaults to 08-25-25 when texting me about installation. When I sign online it says no appt has been scheduled. I'm waiting now to speak to a supervisor which has yet to call me since this morning. Next thing I will go to my local store to complain about this nerve wracking situation to see what can be done to install the dishwasher which is still sitting in my living room adjacent to the kitchen. It has been a nightmare and I'm not a happy camper to say the least!! Can't judge the quality of the unit because it's not installed. Duh!! The poor rating is not for the unit but for the service that has NOT been provided thus far concerning my purchase from Best Buy.
