The GE refrigerator although functioning as prescribed, quality is lacking. Doors and drawers require extra effort to close.Creating a slamming effect.

We especially like the flexibility of the middle drawer for soft drinks, cooling wine, or for "mild" freezing of some foods. It is important to let this refrigerator stabilize its temperature over its first 24 hours. The freezer and fridge cooling temperatures will not be accurate until a day after it is first turned on.

The water will not dispense and no ice :-( Now I have to wait until Friday 4/9 for service. The problem is that the fridge thinks the door is open (its not). When you try to press the button for water the LED just flashes "Door Alarm". If the alarm is on, it will start ringing and not stop so I turned it off. The installer could not figure it out. This fridge has a top refrigerator, a middle meat/snack drawer, and a bottom freezer. I think the problem is with the top fridge because I put my phone in there and the light does not go out when the doors are closed. Also, sometimes the light does not go on when I open the fridge. It gets 2 stars because at least it cools. I know the probl

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Third party carrier delivered this refrigerator but refused to remove the box to check for damage. The size of the refrigerator makes it necessary to remove it from the box for it to fit through the door. As a result of the carriers refusal to remove it from the box, it was left in my driveway and I had to uncrate it myself. I discovered a small dent on the side of the sliding drawer. I also had to get the refrigerator into my home myself. Luckily I had contractors working at my home that were willing to assist with this. This was not an easy task. When I purchased the refrigerator it was my understanding that it included delivery into my home, not to be left on my driveway. Honestly if it were not for the short supply of appliances at this time I would have refused the delivery. I have bought many items from Best Buy over the years and have never had an issue. I would think twice about buying large items that necessitate delivery if this is the service that is going to be provided.

The soft-close vegetable and fruit drawers don’t seal properly, rendering the regulator vents on top of each drawer useless. The drawers and doors feel rough when opening and closing, lacking the smooth operation I expected. I previously owned a Kenmore with similar features, and the quality, fit, and finish of that unit were far superior to this GE model. For the price, I expected better craftsmanship and functionality.

The 4 settings to store meats, beverages, snacks or wine and it includes a removeable bin caddy.
