The fridge was more than likely returned due to a noise coming from the back. I’ll end up contacting GE and having them come look at it. Doesn’t take away from the employee or their service… just wish the store had done a better job checking the fridge once it was returned before reselling it.

Disappointed but hoping to resolve with tech help

I love the fridge itself- just need a good one that doesn’t do this. For 3k, it shouldn’t.

If you need to reach out to Best Buy about this situation, their customer service can be reached 1 (888) 237-8289. We do expect that newer refrigerators may sound a bit different than older models, because of newer technology and additional features. More information about what sounds the refrigerator may make is available on page 38 of the manual, which can be viewed on our GE Appliances website when you look up the model number and go to the product page.
